http://shop.radiotimes.com/homeware-...ea-towels.html

3rd Prize

A Poster Wall Calendar for 2017 Featuring 3 RT Covers

The 70+ Runners Up Draw Prize

This is a new prize category. Once the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes have been decided, all other entrants who scored 70 points or more will put into a draw and a name selected from a hat (or other container!). This person will win a small prize. This year, that prize is:

A Poster Wall Calendar for 2017 Featuring 3 RT Covers.

So, there you go. Now you know what you're playing for. Check back here on Sunday July 31st when the Countdown will begin properly!

Been lurking since the start but feels like it is starting to ramp up now as we have started the second half of the year. Cannot believe how fast the year has gone already and this time in five months we will be opening our advent calendars! Doesn't feel like five minutes since last Christmas!

Hi all-I am new to the forum but have been watching in admiration from afar and have finally plucked up the courage to post. A huge well done for the amazing time and work that has gone into this-it is all so impressive.

Firstly you propose over 150 minutes of religious programming in the morning - sorry you can have the maximum allowed of 60 minutes as not everyone celebrates Christmas or are religious

Second as it is a Sunday you are bound by the charter to have an Antiques Roadshow scheduled but it is not

Countryfile cannot be shown at lunchtimes as the rural community will be busy preparing their dinners

Regarding the film at 3.10 you cannot advertise the name of this film as it will be detrimental to ITV adverting revenues - please amend to TBA

EastEnders cannot be shown at prime time if ITV wish for Emmerdale and Coronation Street to be shown at prime time

We notice that Michael McIntyre is missing from these schedules - please amend this omission as soon as possible but remember you must not have too much comedy on

We notice the News is scheduled at 11.05 - this is far too late - you wanted the news at ten so you cannot now change the timing to fit your schedules and as it is a Sunday we wish for it to be on at 10pm as not to confuse the viewers

We do not think the Bishop of Dibley is appropriate programme to be shown on this night as it makes fun of religion on one of its most important days

Finally we find the choice of film to end the night totally unacceptable and needs replacing

Otherwise the committee is full of praise for a well thougt out schedule”

Regarding 'not having too much comedy on' that's why Michael McIntired is on'

I think Frozen is a cert for Christmas day this year what do you reckon?

Any other films you think will get a premier this Christmas?

I seem to remember they were pretty quick to show skyfall the year after it's release so maybe the new bond?

I'd love to see the lego movie shown too

Two bake off specials for Christmas:

Quote:
“Ho ho ho! The Great British Bake Off is getting TWO Christmas specials this year - it's official

Double the Mary, double the Paul this holiday season.

On top of the heavily-anticipated seventh series coming soon, you can also expect two holiday episodes as a replacement for Christmas Masterclass.

Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will be back alongside presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins - and, even more excitingly, popular contestants from Bake Off's past.

"What a treat to bring two Great British Bake Off specials to BBC One this Christmas," said BBC content director Charlotte Moore. "Mary, Paul, Mel and Sue are the perfect recipe for the festive season."

Each episode will welcome back four legendary bakers from previous series for three festive-themed challenges.

These year-end episodes could yet end up as Bake Off's swansong on the BBC.

Negotiations between the BBC and Love Productions over renewing the three-year production deal, which ends with this year's seventh series, are looking uncertain.

It is said that neither side can agree terms for the new series, with Love Productions (which is 70% owned by Sky) apparently asking for more money for the format.

Last week, a BBC spokesperson told Digital Spy that the corporation would not comment on "contractual agreements".”

Possibly Captain America: The Winter Soldier - it came out two years ago, and that was the length of time between both Avengers Assemble and Iron Man 3 being released in the cinemas and shown on the Beeb.

ITV first showed Skyfall in 2014, therefore meaning that Spectre won't be shown until 2017.

(However, they might have The Dark Knight Rises.)

ITV have the gap left by Downton to fill on Christmas Day. They could fill it with a big movie premier, there hasn't been one on Christmas night for years on the two main channels. It's more likely to be a drama though or, as it's ITV, even more soaps.

Some light entertainment like "Christmas at the Palladium" would be good, probably won't happen though.

Well, of course you are the champion! The reigning star! But marke09 came a close second, plus he's current Quiz champion too, but for how much longer?

After gushing tributes to Sir Terry Wogan, Ronnie Corbett and Victoria Wood with covers and obituaries I find it a disgrace that the tribute in this week's RT to Caroline Aherne is just 60 words by Alison Graham just saying how sad it is

Yes. I find it disgraceful that BBC1 has still to air a Victoria Wood tribute. ITV did a terrific one. BBC2 showed a repeat of something shown at Christmas 2009.

I anticipate that there will be a whole night dedicated to Victoria Wood with a new documentary around Christmas/New Year (not that it's necessarily consolation for the omission to date). With the relationship between the BBC and Wood so strained over the past few years, I can imagine it was a tricky call for them to make about how soon to put together a tribute show.
