Great questions this week. I've learnt my lesson from last week and am reading and re-reading the questions properly!.
What with the bake off back on and the last bank holiday been and gone the countdown is definitely on for me!!

I'm annoyed! The forecast for September as a month is dry and very warm! Why don't we have proper blooming seasons anymore? I hope we don't have another Christmas Day where temperatures are 16 degrees Celsius. That was ridiculous last year. Snow please!!!

Yes, I suppose that is true. It isn't unusual for September to be decent. Perhaps if September is as it should be, the Autumn and winter might play ball too!

More likely the questions. There'll be a stampede just before the deadline! I'm still doing mine!

Next week is well easy! I did think the questions were a bit more difficult this week, which is why there's a prize on offer this week!

In your message, you mentioned some programmes you'd rediscovered that you'd forgotten about whilst researching your answers. Things like The Clothes Show and Telly Addicts. This got me thinking. As a side topic whilst the Quiz is running (and beyond), I thought it would be nice for Posters to tell of the programmes they too had rediscovered. You know, the type that went "I remember that!" whilst you were finding out your answers.

I came across the annual late night Golf tournament that was always shown at Christmas called Men V Women. Does anyone remember that? Then there was "Play Chess" the Children's programme that was more boring than Jackanory! But, one that I can't remember well but recall it was "Sitting Pretty" a sitcom by John Sullivan. Does anyone have any fond memories of that? I can't remember it or what it was about.

Bill Hartston, the presenter of Play Chess, is now one of the regulars on Gogglebox (although he doesn't appear as much as some of the others).

Remember this story from last Christmas regarding how warm New York was. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-35162919

Not got my answers in yet, busy week. Will look to get them in before the deadline.

I didn't know that! Thanks for the info, I'll look out for him. There were several children's programmes that have sprung up in my memory. Does anyone remember "I'm a Rat" from early 2000's?

I think that's a great idea.

Another thing I noticed is how way back broadcaster's especially the BBC made a much bigger thing of the old Hollywood stars back then.

For instance on one BBC schedule I came across because it was Hollywood legend Barbara Stanwycks birthday or because she'd won a prestigious award they spend the majority of the week showing Barbara Stanwycks best films especially in the nighttime slot. They really celebrated and pushed the boat out. Whilst I understand why those days are no longer with us I do miss them!

I'd love the BBC to show Jake Gyllenhaal or Jude Law films all week as a celebration and tribute!
