Quiz answers submitted Wizzy. You may have two entries from me this week. First time I sent, the laptop crashed. So sent a second message.

Cheers! Yes, I got them twice, so my naughty half is telling me to give you double points! Thankfully my angelic side has told me not to!

Because of the amount of you getting 7 or more questions right, there are TWO fridge magnets available to win this week. Two names will be drawn randomly on Sunday morning before I reveal the Questions for week 3. So, to reiterate, there are now 2 prizes of Christmas Radio Times Fridge Magnets to win this week.

Does anyone else think Goodnight Sweetheart would be excellent as a Christmas special? I thought tonight's one-off was superb. Series please. Christmas 1962 would be a great setting.

Yes I've just watched it. Didn't realise it was a one off, they must be testing the water before commissioning a new series. Would be great as Christmas special between the two years.

Most definitely. Loved the original series as well.

Yes, I loved the original too - and this one off moved seamlessly to a new era without damaging the original. I think it demonstrates how poor today's comedy writers are by comparison.

Young Hyacinth was OK, but pointless. Part of the appeal of Keeping Up Appearances was the fact we didn't know the characters backstory.

In my view Are You Being Served? and Goodnight Sweetheart should be commissioned as series'.

Probably too late for Goodnight Sweetheart to be a Christmas special for this year so fingers crossed if no series a special next year

Young Hyacinth went back too far should have been set after she married Richard and see her bringing up Sheridan

Daisy was also a child bride - she married Onslow at a very young age. Yet the prequel seemed to rewrite her history.

When they did First of the Summer Wine, Compo and Clegg knew Seymour, yet when Seymour was introduced into Last of the Summer Wine, the three of them didn't know one another.

The most annoying continuity error that riles me to this day is the stupidity surrounding Geraldine Graingers name in The Vicar of Dibley.

The brilliance of her name being "Boadicea" was genius. Yet in her final episode her name was Geraldine followed by those stupid Mary Poppins references. It stopped being funny for me from that point.

Just looking on twitter and they are going mad for Goodnight Sweetheart, demanding a new series.
The Sun has an article about the viewer's reaction:-

You never know.

I don't know how they expected to get away with that, given how many times the earlier episodes were repeated.

they could easily make another episode of goodnight sweetheart this one was only recorded in august, that's if they are quick enough to write it

Fingers crossed. In my view it was the best sitcom episode I've seen for years. Which demonstrates how bad sitcoms are at present, although I do like Mrs. Brown's Boys and Miranda. But I guess it's because they're done in a traditional, old fashioned style.

Have had a letter about my RT subscription today and it tells me to go to buysubscriptions to renew at the fantastic price of £34.99 for 26 issues or if paid by card £43.50

On going to the site it gives me £34.99 for 26 issues BUT £39.99 for card payment BUT even better i can renew for 12 issues at a £1! I wonder which one I should choose which only comes up if i dont give them a renewal quote number

Thanks, I can now order my Christmas Radio Times with the 12 issues for £1.00 offer.

Which start issue do you think is best to incorporate the Christmas and New Year editions?
04/10/2016?
11/10/16?
18/10/16?

So if I go for 04/10/2016 that goes up to 20th December normally but obviously the issue dates are all different in December. But that should include the Christmas and New year issues?
Brain not working today.

ok if you go for the 4 the dates should be

04/10
11/10
18/10
25/10
1/11
8/11
15/11
22/11
26/11 - first early edition
01/12 - second early one
06/12 Christmas Double Issue
around 24/12 - New year Issue

BUT do the RT count the double issue as two copies? if so you will miss the New Year one

They haven't counted the double issue as 2 issues when I've done the 12 issues for a £1 before
