I'd sooner have your weather than this pesky heat. Had enough now.

I much prefer the cold weather we get from October - February. I looked at the weather for next week here in Leicester and the temperature is supposed to drop quite a bit.
The darker nights are also coming now which is nice.

Thought wizzy would have commented on the post saying that filming has begun on the two Last Tango In Halifax Christmas specials

I am sort of disappointed that it is coming back for a Christmas Special because it could mean there'll be no series, so I was waiting for more news about a series before I commented.

On a Bake Off theme, the Guardian is speculating that all 4 of GBBO's talent WILL be going to C4. Doesn't that make them all a bit hypocritical?

There has been a lot of threads and posts on this and apparently the talent had already asked the BBC for more money so if Channel 4 has come along with an open cheque book im sure they would go but will 4 allow them to make other programmes for other channels or will it be exclusive - Hollywood has a BBC car series coming soon

I share your annoyance. Since July, the South of England has been up and down from 23 degrees to 30+ like a blinking yoyo. It is uncomfortable and we haven't had proper Autumn or Winter weather for five years now. And, the next person who tells me that I must enjoy it while it lasts and that it would be lovely to have the heat all the time, I will punch them in a place where being cold is the least of their worries!

I don't think they ever said they wouldn't change channels just that they would prefer it if the show stayed on the BBC.

The production company pay the staff - it would have been Love that the talent had asked the money from. The BBC pay the production company to make the show and provide the wages. The BBC offered twice as much as they were currently paying which would have ensured the talent would have got their extra money. The whole "BBC is wonderful, we must be loyal to the BBC as the BBC is important to the UK" rhetoric from Sue Perkins and "We want the show to remain on the BBC" lines from Berry and Hollywood seem somewhat pretentious and hypocritical to me.

Loyal towards the BBC but only when it suits them.

The BBC will still make money from Bake Off!

"The BBC is to continue to profit from The Great British Bake Off until at least 2028 after it emerged that its international arm holds the remake rights for the next 12 years."

You guys on about hot and sunny weather today, luckily you aren't in bristol, we had a lovely start, but has rain and stormed on and off for nearly 4 hours now.

Jus heard on Radio 5 Live, Gravesend hit 34.5c today, the warmest September day since 1911

I'm only 14 miles from Gravesend and it's nearly that temperature here - it's actually unbearable! Hoping for rain!

Why did you have to include bargain hunt, is it took the regular viewers happy.

Would love films on BBC One on December 23rd in the morning ,but I do have a feeling we will get the usual, how can I put it nicely, Quota filling TV.

Going onto ITV as that week isn't Christmassey, do we expect them to still do Jeremy Kyle, This Morning and Loose Women up until the 23rd
