Two major milestones for this thread today
First it was NINE years ago today that the first mention of the Christmas Radio Times thread was made by fugitive - we have come a long way from then - now we are an all year round thread with quizzes and Clares dad's cover competition is as legendary as the double issue itself if your new to the thread this year welcome and thanks for taking the time to just read it or take part in it - we all have our thoughts of Christmas TV so why not vent your thoughts about what you would like to see this year and try your hand at being a scheduler with your festive schedule (its much harder than you think it is) On October 1 I will announce if the Christmas Day ratings comp will go ahead or not The other milestone is that today September 15 marks the 100 day countdown to Christmas Eve! |

Thinking now that after 9pm on Christmas Eve the schedule the probably look like this....
9:00 - Outnumbered Christmas Special 9:30 - Walliams And Friend Christmas Special 10:00 - BBC News/Weather 10:20 - National Lottery Draw 10:30 - Not Going Out Christmas Special 11:15 - Mrs Browns Boys (rpt) 11:45 - Midnight Mass Looking at last year's schedule made me think Walliams And Friend will probably be put in the same slot as last year, the same for Not Going Out. |

Have ITV announced a live stage play yet?. I haven't seen The Sound Of Music Live yet as I had it recorded but accidentally deleted it.

Call me chicken but Im no good with fantasy schedules, or fantasy in anything to be honest but here are my views.
Week before Christmas I hope we dont get the normal Schedules but I fear we will, I guess This Morning will pack up on 16 December, giving us a week of Tipping Point, The Chase Rebound etc. Christmas Eve I think we wont get any soaps, but I feel the 23rd will be treated as Christmas Eve on the soaps, Maybe Eastenders might be an hour ep, while Corrination Street will have its normal friday double, along with a single emmerdale. ITV will have 4 days to cover with there Christmas guff, going from Christmas Eve to Christmas Tuesday, which Makes me 5% think maybe we might get Christmas Eve soaps, as there will only be one epsiode each of Christmas Mr & Mrs, Christmas Surprise Surprise, Christmas Chase, Christmas through the Keyhole. Christmas Day will be the same as ever. Boxing Day same as ever, I would give MOTD 100 minute slot that night though. Text Santa not sure if your are looking at Friday 16 December or 23 December |

A huge thank you to everyone who has generously supported Text Santa over the years. Your time, money and support has enabled the charities involved to make such a difference to helping those in difficulty. |

But there were games scheduled for December 28th every year since 2013. There's no such hinderance this year.

There were no games on the 28th in 2011 (last time Boxing Day was a Monday) but Boxing Day MOTD was still 90 mins.
theres been a new contract since then worth billions so SKY and BT will want a slice of the Christmas Holiday fan although they play 3 times in a week they announce the fixtures early October |
