it was an express story that the Sun has picked up on but to be fair to Exacta they did forecast the hot September and apparently there will be a hot period in October before temperatures start cooling

Quizmas Challenge News
The Digital Spy Annual Quiz:
I am making an announcement about the Quiz. I can confirm that I will be running the Quiz next year, and that it will return for an 8 week run, between August 20th and October 15th. There will be prize stages as per this year and some great prizes for the three overall winners. However, the 2017 Quiz will be the final one that I run. If anyone wants to take it over from 2018, then please do so, but just to reiterate, next year will be the last one that I run. Back to this year, and look out on Wednesday for details of the semi-final that will run from this Sunday alongside week 7's questions. |

I have seen that mid-October may give us an Indian Summer with temperatures rising to around 22 degrees with warm sunshine. I have seen several different forecasting companies saying November and December will be colder than what we have had the past few years. So, we'll see.

This will sound daft but maybe come 2018, eight of us could provide a weeks questions each, so you get questions at all different levels, most weeks harder some easier but you wouldnt know.
But keep maybe 2 people in charge of the points, and the questions get sent to either of those two. It would save on somebody like wizzywick from getting like 30 question sheets to mark a week.. Diabolical thought I know but wanted to air my point |

Question - Is it bad that I'm reading this thread (and have been all year) despite the fact I'm not going to be in the country over the Christmas period?

Diabolical thought I know but wanted to air my point You're right about 20 odd posters all posting answers at the same time! It gets a bit frustrating, but that is the nature of deadlines and I'd rather people posted late than not at all. However, I am running out of questions! I have enough for another 60 odd questions, but since 2014, I have devised over 220 questions and next year, it'll be 300. It is time come 2018, for someone else to do the thinking! |

Hilda, did you not know that it is illegal to go on holiday during the run of the Quiz? Or to move? In fact anything that distracts you from the Quiz is not allowed. I may have to instantly disqualify you.

The first Ident I fully remember, was the year when the BBC Premiered Batman Returns, and the Globe turned into the batwings

Still think it's more of a run up to Christmas show than a Christmas Day show. Plus would the BBC really make it one of their flagship shows on the big day now they've lost it?

Yes, I think so.
Wasn't it Heart that last year cut off the ending of the Wizard video. I think another (not sure what channel) also cut out the bit mentioning Rolf Harris in Mel Smith and Kim Wilde Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. ![]() A bit over the top I think.

If you order a subscription straight from the publishers of Total TV Guide it will cost you £56 for the year but the subscription does not start until January 3 2017
Luckily there are other subs offers available in the magazine |

- Really? Christmas time, a time for children and you think it's OK to use Rolf Harris as a reference point?
![]() Mind you a lot of people would say ban the song anyway because it's so awful.
