Im sure there will be a tribute programme or night to Jimmy Perry who has died today on BBC Two over Christmas
The Dad's Army drama they did last Christmas would be worth repeating again.

Oh Doctor Beeching was a half an hour show, so would easy fit into BBC2 and the Classic Comedy's slots.

Just trying to contact wizzywick to say thanks for the quiz prize but noticed I cannot send him a PM.
Also it says 'Inactive Member' under his name. What does that mean?
When it says inactive under a profile name it means they've been banned but there's no way of knowing if that's just for 24 hours, 48 hour's, a week, 2 weeks or permanently.
It'd be a real shame if it's the latter but I have no idea what's gone on?
Perhaps PM some people who you know are friendly with him on this thread especially and ask them if they know any more?

Best Wishes Hilda ☺ 👍 x
I'm a wizzywick fan. I enjoy his contributions to this forum a lot even though I don't always agree with everything he says. Long may he continue to post on Digital Spy !
Let's just hope it's not permanent. Won't be the same without him.
I have found myself banned for comments in the Politics column. In all honesty, the one thing I would miss if I was banned permanent, would be this thread.
I too have been on the banned list thanks to the politics thread - it is an easy thread to get yourself banned from as opinions are very hardened and some time tempers do fray but thats the nature of debate as long as it doesnt get too personal
Thanks for your posts guys! Nice to know I'd be missed!

I am going to avoid the politics threads for awhile. It's like a different world over there! A sort of paradox! But, like pedrok, I'd miss this thread and the broadcasting threads in general rather than the politics side of things. So, I'm off the naughty step and intend to keep it that way!

It's because they're not as good as the others. It's why High Street Blues is rarely shown as well.
