Good post, i never really remember who creates a thread anyway i bet most of us don't. I mean once its on 2nd page its anybody's and whizzy mentioned the ''loyalty'' to the thread, whether you have posted 1 or 100 times it doesn't matter we are all equal imo, i never really look at usernames anyway so wouldn't know a regular from a newbie.

At the same time, I don't want wizzy to suddenly feel 'ganged' up on as it all comes from a clear passion for this thread and although we will never agree about CTM on Christmas Day ( ) the thread would not be the same without you wizzy!

It's probably been covered earlier however it's a long thread and search threw up nothing. However what period is this years double issue covering and when will it be available?
Searching Sky's offerings, very annoyed to see two of my favourite Christmas films, Muppet Christmas Carol & National Lampoons Christmas Vacation on pay per view only

Can I make a guess? I'm going to go for something classic and perhaps a bit Shakespearean. A snowy Stratford upon Avon or old fashioned town in a Christmas tree shape much like this classic cover:

I have to say Heart TV started way to early if they are going to play the same 20 songs on loop. They must be played 30-50 times a day and there is no Slade this year I have noticed.

You are allowed two guesses. I'll accept this as your entry for a traditional cover. Please also make a guess for a cover which features a specific programme (or programmes) and or specific TV star(s)

Just to add to the 'great debate' on who should start next year's thread

I agree that in the grand scheme of things it's not important, however there is an issue that if we don't agree a process then we end up with the situation were people compete to open the thread as early as possible (like a couple of years ago when some joker opened RT Christmas threads going up to 2020). If we want to keep everything in one clear place where all the regulars can post and the rest join in it makes sense that we agree when to open the thread and who does it.

I feel I should give up using this thread.

Yesterday Evening I sort up a general UKTV Magazines thread, and a poster on there got a bit nearly, saying it should be moved to the Print Media Section, so stupidly, I said why is the other thread ok then, he said well both threads should be moved, and I dared him to try it.

As posts above have mentioned My Uncle died on Saturday, and my head has been al in spin, and would have regular posters would take that into consideration, as I do love this thread and wouldn't intetionally bring it any harm.

People need to realise that the thread recently started was blatant trolling, any regular can see that. Whilst I class myself as an avid thread reader and casual poster, I love the tradition that this thread brings, Christmas is all about tradition yeah?

Therefore I whole heartedly welcome that the competition winner will start the new official thread.

Thanks I have decided not to go anywhere, on the forum, which everybody is willing to use.

This morning we have found out why TV Magazines arrive out on a Tuesday, and a bit of history of why so all is good
