Ours break up on 21st December. I can't find when they break up next year (although, iirc, we broke up on 20th December the last time Christmas was on a Monday).

Monday to Friday for the two weeks leading up to Christmas
MTV Christmas starts tomorrow, as does the Now music channel.
It will be good to hear some different songs instead of the same ten songs that Heart TV play.
Magic channel start their Christmas music on Saturday.
I say this nearly every Christmas but just seems to be the same old same old but come on ITV and BBC lets have some good retrospectives. More so this year after the passing of so many famous stars. Arena always used to have at least one at Christmas and ITV used to have the unforgettable strand of look backs of a famous star and it seems they have not done any more for around 4 or 5 years when the did Danny la rue and Mike Reid and a couple of others. Ch 4 used to do great look back shows towards the end of the 80s around New Years time but now we just get a normal schedule. Flicking through old Christmas TVs and radio times it seemed like every day we got a big treat and now we are subjected to hours of Corrie an eastenders and repeats of doc Martin.
This year I finish work on the 23rd, meaning I don't really want to get into the 'holiday mood' until that day anyway, so if the main channels don't do a lot in the week before, it doesn't bother me that much.
That being said, I think Sunday is not the best day for Christmas day to be on, for television.
My blood i s boiling - just read a letter sent to our local newspaper by someone who doesnt say where they are sending it from telling us that we MUST stop all this waste of energy at Christmas and stop using lights to light up our streets and shopping malls on our trees and in windows - They ask whats it all for if its tradition then its time to change tradition!

Perhaps they'll be better this year.
I wonder if "Lady in a Van" will air?”
They announced the movies the day after their Christmas highlights press release but as you say no trailers until mid-December
