Samsung ES8000 Wifi problem
Hi guys,
I have a Samsung ES8000 55" SMART TV. Had it nearly 3 years now with no problems whatsoever, until mysteriously yesterday the wifi stopped working. It can't find any hubs in range let alone mine so not an issue with my hub and no settings on TV have changed. I googled the issue as you do and found the advice of accessing the secret menu and changing wifi region from E to A then resetting SVC which HAS worked apart from the annoying side effect that I can connect to my hubs 2.5ghz SSID but it doesn't see my 5Ghz SSID which it used to always be connected to. I need the 5ghz channel to comfortably stream 1080p through plex app from my PC. So why has this happened? Why has my wifi died and why does changing the region kind of fix it? I pay for a tv care plan so if I decide to make a claim what would be best match like for like Samsung equivalent these days? Thanks. |

Possibly yea. It's going to be a real hassle getting it off the wall and sorting out all the cables aswell.
