Was that comment even remotely necessary?

I get it that he didn't like the salsa but Katie's dance was hardly flawless.

I'm split between being annoyed that Gleb didn't do safe and boring for Anita's sake and admiration for being innovative and daring - or perhaps reckless in some eyes.

It explains why KFG gets to the finals, he plays to the judges. Although I'm not particularly taken with Gleb it needs someone to push the boundaries.

Anita will be a great loss to the finals, she's one classy lady and would have done a fantastic showdance. I'm relying on Aliona to tweak the judges noses now - the others will be boring bland. I certainly hope Katie does one latin dance to highlight her inadequacies.

You say innovative and daring. I say 'not doing the actual dance they were told to do', which personally I think is unacceptable in a semi-final. I doubt Anita could have coped with actual salsa dancing, but we'll never know...

Tejas:-
What I took exception to was Len's comment - it was totally unnecessary in the circumstances.

miserable old git.

they may have been better in the DO but overall nothing about anton and katie has progressed or interested for several weeks now. even when they should have stolen the show, they didn't. even in that final waltz he was back to shoving her around like a rag doll, presumably because he's never really bothered teaching her anything.

I think the comment was unnecessary. However, I can understand why Len was of that opinion given the content of the dances.

Len was rude.

As I had surmised, Len did fix it..

Katie did make at least one mistake, Anita made none; I watched carefully.

...unless you count the rather large 'mistake' of not dancing the dance scheduled

I expect several thousand dogs and cats watched carefully.

I also thought it was an unnecessary comment - easy enough to say why he wanted katie to go through without that.

But he seemed to be in a rather grumpy mood the whole of Saturday .......wonder is it true that he's been given his place in the Dance Off and wont be back next year.

That is down to the choreographer not the celebrity and who on earth picked the music?

for me I think Katie improved in the DO and Anita didnt therefore I think Katie& Anton should have gone through to the final and the right desision was made. Think the way Len put it was rude the way i put it i think above was saying something similar but more polite

That salsa was the stuff of nightmares

I'll never be able to look at a majorette in the same way again

Watch Len's face when Anita has been eliminated and is standing with Tess and Gleb talking about her Strictly experience.
Says it all!

What like Pete Andre's non-jive that I seemed to recall got an 8 from Len on the night.

The judges know they are in the spotlight now, especially after the disaster with Jamelia. I am getting rather fed up of them now though, time for a bit of a shake-up I hope.

I agree. His jive was rubbish.

Who is KFG? Or rather, I suspect it's Kevin but why?

Len was plain rude then. But then again he is a cantankerous git anyway so I'm not sure why people are surprised. He particularly annoys me when the audience react to what he's saying and he stops and shouts them down because he is the dance warlord and no one else is allowed an opinion.

You are right but the judges can hardly mark one half of a couple, can they? Yes, Gleb blew it, but that's how the cookie crumbles

I know, at times I wonder if he realizes that people have paid money to see the show, so of course they are going to disagree on occasions.

The contestant had the choice of two dances in the dance-off; there was no other choice; and Len has approved of other contestants dancing dances which were obviously not the scheduled dance.
Len's rudeness was uncalled for.

I don't think Len likes Gleb tbh. Len's a traditionalist and Gleb.... isn't

I agree the comment was unnecessary. But for me it was overshadowed by everyone's reaction to Anita's exit. She seems so well liked. Love her relationships with Jay and Giovanni (their cuddles at the end finished me off tonight ).

I didn't even watch it to be honest, would have finished me off too. But its nice to know she got a good send off from her fellow contestants. She has every reason to be proud of what she has done.

It is disappointing about Gleb, though. At the beginning I thought he was going to be one to watch. Artem had similar show-off characteristics but at least he did it with grace and style and fluidity in the dance. I don't know what came over Gleb in putting that nightmare together

The longer this program goes on the ruder he gets, it's getting to the stage where he's become a caricature of himself. I wish he'd bugger off and pickle his walnuts somewhere else.

The music for both girls was wrong . For beginners especially you need music with a clear beat and rhythm which is appropriate to each dance and which will be of help to them with the dance .
Then again I doubt the celebs can pick up any beat or rhythm from the music with all loud clapping and shouting .
