Hi does you pet dog sleep on your bed with you, when we got our small toy dog from vicking oak kennels some 8 years ago, i would never let our dog sleep with us, she had her own dog bed in our room,. This continued untill this year when she had to have emergancy surgery and after she kept crying in the early hours in pain, i lifted her onto my bed she calmed down, and now sleeps on top of the quilt.. so what about your pet dog..

No but only because he doesn't want to- he's in his bed beside ours and sometimes he'll come up and lay on it in the morning while I have a cuppa. I have had dogs sleep on the bed in the past though.

Hope your little dog is better now

They sleep in it with me and I would never have it any other way. Mine are a toy breed too.

No because being a Golden Retriever there wouldn't be room for her and Mr Python and I! She does come up for a cuddle in the mornings sometimes though

Yes.

One is a massive Labradoodle, and one a Springedoodle and yes, there's hardly any room for me but that's how I like it.

They don't ar'f keep me warm mind on a winter's night.

I am female and live alone and my dogs make me feel safe. Prior to my doodles (they are 16 months and 3 years respectively) all of my previous dogs used to sleep on the floor in the bedroom, never on the bed, so times have changed.

Yes! My 11 year old springer spaniel sleeps on my bed with me every night & always has done.

Mine never used to but the dog I have now does sleep on my bed. I adopted her from a shelter and she cried so piteously the first couple of nights that I relented and let her sleep with me. She's never cried since

Mine get up and down. Harley sleeps on my bed pretty much all of the time in winter (in summer he sleeps on the floor in his various beds), and Zach mooches about depending on whether the heating is on.

Love them. They snore, though...

Mine does She is my first dog (gsd/husky rescue) and i vowed she would never sleep in my bed. I think we lasted 2 nights! Gained 2 cats since then too (also rescue) and they also like to hop in with us from time to time. The funny thing is when it was just me and the dog she used to sleep at the bottom of the bed - since the cats have joined us though shes decided shes now sleeping on the pillow with me

No, my dog isn't allowed upstairs. He prefers to sleep down in his basket anyway.
Even when we are snug in front of the fire he will get up and go to the door waiting to be let out and into the room where his basket is.

Kind of. They all start off of the floor in the bedroom, but in the morning they've magically migrated to the bed. Weird.

our Scottish terrier preference is the floor on my side of the bed, our staffie starts on the floor but usually ends up at the foot of the bed and our mini dachshund normally tries to nick my place like this https://www.instagram.com/p/5tbEPIpuRv/

Mine does, she's a small cockapoo, might be different if she was a St Bernard!

My border collie used to. Then I got a higher divan bed and it got more difficult for her so i made a ramp out of a pasting table and rugs. But she suddenly stopped wanting to be there. I think it was about the time she was having a lot of vet treatment and had to be up on a table. She now has her own bed opposite mine but I do miss her up there with me

Mine did and still could if it were up to me, but she took it upon herself to relocate to the floor at the end of the bed during the summer, and has stayed there ever since. I thought she would have jumped back up when the cold weather appeared, but she seems content to stay there. Not surprisingly, there is no advice on how to get a dog to stay on your bed

I know how attached we humans are to our pets, and how much we miss them.

I assume they know what is comfy for themselves. Even though we miss them,

McGee does this, he'll take himself off to his crate about 9pm and theres no getting him out.

Ren sleeps at the foot of the bed and Cabbage sleeps in the crook of my knee under the covers

Mine sleeps usually in the kitchen.
But he is slowly melting my heart to the extent that when i always said he's never allowed upstairs or on beds....its happening.
I dont want a dog on the bed, upstairs or in any place its not allowed...but theres something wrong.
My heart IS melting and doing things i usually wouldnt allow.

Mine sleeps on the bed, but won't get under the covers. Sometimes he starts on the bed but if it is too hot, will take himself off the bed and sleep on the sofa. He is 7 months old now and used to cry at night but he's worked out now that if I am in the bedroom, it doesn't mean that he's been completely left alone and is happy in the living room.
