I agree with the points made by both posters, especially Lou's, right through this thread.
When I dared to post about my irritation with Georgia's VTs on Saturday's show I was accused of being nasty and mean by a few posters.
I admit my favourites were Jay and Anita. I actually didn't mind Georgia, just didn't get excited by her dances. However the whole sob story last week just put me off her - it was like X Factor.

While I thought having the doctor segment on Georgia's VT was perhaps a bit unnecessary, I can understand why it was featured due to all of the rumours surrounding her illness the week before - there were articles about how she might have to pull out of the show and people demanding answers across the internet about her illness (in some cases asking for physical proof!) - so I can get why it was featured - I'd doubt it was her decision for the doctor bit to be included and more the producers.

Regarding Jay not mentioning attending his Grandfather's funeral I can understand why he decided not to. A funeral of a relative is a personal and private matter, not something you broadcast to the world.

The sour grape reaction to being in the dance-off. The sourpuss face caught on camera reacting to other dancers. The sore throat saga - which was blown out of all proportion, and was even blamed as a result of being voted into the dance-off!! (on ITT). Blimey. That's hardly going to get the audience on your side.

Cheerio! ”

The issue I have with Georgia is my inability to relate to her on a personal level.
I just don't care about her whining comments or achievements during the show.
I appreciate this is my fault, but then, why do I care about other contestants.
Thinking about it my feeling is about her age or rather her apparent lack of life experiences that make other, more mature, contestants interesting.

I have an issue with young singers (particularly on shows like X-Factor) trying to sing songs with heart rending lyrics when they have not experienced any of life's education.
Likewise, for me, Georgia's Latin dances are not sexy nor does her Ballroom dances have the mature grace that Katie, for instance, has.

Any comments?

We all warm to different people. I feel the opposite (in terms of dances and how they effect me). Katies ballroom does nothing for me, while Georgias is as graceful as I could wish for. I see what Darcy sees As for her latin dances - loved her routines, her samba was the stand out latin dance of the series for me. Whats appeals to one, may be bland for the other

You mention sexyness...I think thats about partnership too....G & G have great chemistry (in both latin and ballroom) and imo are hot on the dancefloor. Don't get the same vibe from Katie and Anton at all (especially in latin)

Given that apparantly people on the BBC blog site were practically accusing her of making the illness up to garner sympathy, at least having the doctor on the VT dispelled those idiotic comments!!
I really don't get all this crap about trying to gain sympathy votes, you only had to look at her on saturday night to see she was completely out of sorts, but she still went out there & produced two dances that were good enough to keep her well clear of the dance off!!
She's in the final , it was on merit, it's a different week now, the biggest of the series!! Surely time to shut up & move on!!

I find it hard to believe that a bona fide doctor would go to a training room and be filmed giving a diagnosis. I alsodon't think any sensible person is suggesting Georgia made up her illness, I just think that quite a few people believe she should have just got on with it instead of milking it.

I agree what about the people that did not vote for her because they thought she was playing for the sympathy vote. Funny that is never mentioned.

and I think quite a few sensible people are suggesting she didn't write or produce her training VT and her biggest crime is filming a 10 second clip that she was asked to do.

If anyone is milking it perhaps you should look closer to home. Are you now claiming the Doctor was an Actor. You could not make it up.

Bless you, do you think all the VTs are mini documentaries?
