It is seperate now if you have Amazon prime you will get Amazon instant video automatically, or you can subscribe to Amazon instant video for 5.99p/m you will still need to pay 6.99p/m for the dvd rental service either way.

I tried Amazon prime for a couple of weeks even though I have been using Lovefilm for a few years. I didnt like the choice on Amazon Prime, so instead staying with Lovefilm which incidentally is going up in price as from February 2016.

I prefer the discs anyway, but as far as I know you cannot use Lovefilm online, only rent the discs.

I only ever signed up for LoveFilm and at the time it included streaming as well. Amazon took over and nothing changed.

However, before Christmas, I accidentally signed up for Amazon Prime trial* and when that ran out, I lost streaming access. Nothing Amazon can do about it according to them. But if I don't want Amazon Prime, I can sign up for Amazon Video at £5.99 pm. Which is £71 per year and at £79 per year, you might as well sign up for the full Prime.

When the LoveFilm price goes up I'll probably cancel it as the film choice isn't as good as it used to be and I find many of the newer films turn up on sky before they're available on LoveFilm.

* When I wanted to pay for something I'd ordered on Amazon the Prime page came up with 2 buttons "Yes please" and "No thanks, blah blah" So I hit the no thanks one and immediately realised the yes and no buttons were the same thing. The blah blah bit was something along the lines of "No thanks, I still want Prime but not next day delivery" The real no thanks was else where on the page as text and not an actual button. There was also no confirmation option, just bang! you've got Prime now.
