As well as more dates, the places were quite a bit larger, particularly Liverpool/Birmingham where she did arenas. I think small but frequent tours would be better for Leona though, especially in regards to her voice. She really pushed her voice on the Glassheart tour.”
I went to Liverpool for the Glassheart tour. It wasn't the full arena, just a sectioned off bit at the back. And it wasn't full to absolute capacity. Maybe Birmingham was the same. I don't think that the Glassheart Tour would have worked in a full arena.
So if you take those out, the drop in audience isn't huge. Which is remarkable considering everything. And I think, she has been more enthusiastically received, certainly in my experience. In large part perhaps because she was so amazingly energetic and positive a stage presence.
I honestly didn't expect the tour to go the way it has after the album's performance. I am so impressed by the whole thing.
I don't think the space at Liverpool was much smaller, than the Empire. But the atmosphere was nowhere as good. This tour has definitely been a step up performance wise.
I agree. I think that Leona works best in the concert hall settings that she mainly used this time. The connection with the audience and sound suits her very well.
