I was not happy with the way DefJam/Island treated Leona, after all the promises. She deserved better than what they gave her.

I'm thrilled that finally the cards have fallen in her favor and she's gotten this chance to star on Broadway. I think its great news and, at least, from the preview tweets, she's making the most of it. We'll know for sure on opening night.

Leona never truly lost her voice however there were moments in the past that her voice seemed unsteady and not in very good condition however she has gotten much better with time; this is probably due to not overworking her voice, good habits and effective vocal training. She sounds WORLD CLASS; this could truly be one of the best renditions of "Memory" and I'm not being biased.

so true ;( things look like are going in the right direction now though..also have you noticed how Leona has been perfoming at various events this past year or so and all each different style..now she is doing MT ..got collabs coming and who knows what else..she has shown as we know how versatile she is..with the public she has covered all areas..wise ..

Right. Leona has been doing everything she possibly can. But the most important near term promo for Leona and the show will happen in about 10 days on Cats' opening night. A critics' rave will do more for her than anything that's happened in the last two years. Go Leona!

This week's cats behind the scenes episode. Cant believe I watched all of it for literally 10 seconds of Leona 😁 At about the 8 minute mark you see Leona enter the stage for what I think is the final part if the show.

Also does anyone know what happens when Leona's 3 months are up? Will they just replace her with a different grizabella? Or is the show only in Broadway until October?

Depends - Leona's on an extendable contract so she could renew it for a few more months. The show is meant to go into early 2017 - I'd expect that they'll use Leona's understudy or hire someone new.

I can see why they picked it, it has a catchy-ish chorus and Flo Rida and Lunchmoney Lewis are far bigger names than Leona today, so it should have an easier time getting airplay than a Pitbull/Leona track.

Plus as I have said, I'd rather he secured a hit then followed it with Leona's song.
