I really want to know why they have re-recorded it. That will bug me until we find out.

I had a thought, Hans Zimmer toured last year and his tracklist consisted of the big well known songs that he had written for movies.

Maybe his next move is to release an album of re-imagined versions of his classic movie songs, its the only thing I can think of really. A greatest hits in a sense.

I'm glad they're discussing future plans, its amazing to know that there will be things in the works. But I really hope Def Jam and Universal know just how much work they're gonna have to put in with Leona to produce a good song and then make it a hit. Leona's career has taken many blows and it seemed as though Island didn't quite get that and wanted big success with minimal effort. Def Jam on the other hand do seem to be in it for the long haul but I want them to really rebuild her fan base and get her out there so that way she can have real continuing success. Lots of promo is great but at the end of the day, if people don't acknowledge her or see her as relevant then it makes no difference shoving her in people's faces if there aren't people around who care about her, to take notice. Anyway I'm super excited to hear cats in full, OOTK, I want to hear this new song for the movie, these collabs that are being spoken of and this single mentioned in the Guardian. We've got quite a bit to occupy us with, so I'm very happy right now !

What exciting news. The Guardian piece was so good. The Gladiator music is so haunting, and Leona will do it justice. In the meantime I have listened to the Memory snippet so many times. The vocals are so mesmerising, but also Leona is acting the part to perfection.

I echo everyone's thoughts on Leona's voice being reminiscent of her XF days. She never ceases to amaze me. Also loving that Guardian interview. I enjoy those types of interviews - that is what I call intelligent journalism. No bitchy comments in sight.

Little interview about cats. She looks so beautiful and natural in it. You can see by her face that she's lost some weight over the past few weeks

Don't think it's a secret, but I'm not here for the mess if it changes in the end. I don't know when it is, so everything can still change.

The Pitbull collab for instance was pushed back in the end because Leona had a tight schedule due Cats. She had lots of rehearsals leading up to the premiere and basically no time to do anything else. After tonight she'll have more time so I think we'll hear the PItbull collab soon enough

What do u mean she has more time, she almost has a show every day.....I do not think Pit bull will release another single before oct-nov considering he has one out now and considering usually there is a gap from 2 to 4 months in releasing singles

Yes and? She had a month to get the whole show together, and just a week or 2 weeks before opening they started to rehearse on stage. Like she said she literally eat, sleep, .. on stage. They won't need to reherase now as much as they did the last couple of weeks.

Why are people making a big deal out of a Pitbull collab?

He hasn't had a decent hit (that wouldn't be a pointless answer on pointless lol) since Timber in 2013.

Even so it is still the biggest feature Leona has had and that song will get more attention than anything Leona has released in years.

The good thing about the Pitbull collab is it doesn't really matter when it's released. No one really buys Pitbull albums (on a whole, no one drag up statistics telling me it went Gold in Mexico) so it's not like if it's a 4th single no one will be interested because they've already got the album.

Yeah that was one thought I had when we saw Leona as the old cat. She had the scruffy fur coat but her face was too perfectly and glamorously made up. As opposed to Elaine Paige who's face had been aged.

But she still has to do 8 shows a week, doesn't she? Doubt she'll have much time for anything else except maybe a little PR for the show. Which of course, keeps HER in the public eye, too.
