I was one that posted on twitter I wonder if leonas going down the dance route

I agree with your post I believe by doing dance will open to whole new fans that will grow to love her voice.

Dance music is the way forward but I still want them power ballad and I most deffanity want the r n b / pop side to come back too

These guest appearances she is doing lately are actually clever and that's why I am thinking maybe she's exployering.

I still want me heartbreaking ballads and still think Leona is one incredible vocalist and that won't change

She doesn't have to go all out dance on her own album, as long as the production is relevent. E.g a song in the style of Firestone by Kygo would be great, it's well produced and allows vocals to shine.

I think one of the most important things is working with a producer that brings the best out in her voice e.g. Ryan Tedder, or have a vocal producer on board that can really direct Leona and push the songs to a climax. I think that's what's been missing from I Am and Glassheart, the ingredients were there but the songs just didn't quite make it to those climactic moments as seen in Bleeding Love and Run.

Hi guys. I'm one of Leona's Irish fans I mostly just read the stuff on here but never post. I hope she releases new music soon because I honestly think she has one of the best voices out there and it should not be wasted. I think what Leona NEEDS is a QUALITY album that can definitely be created by collaborating with Ryan Tedder [which is what some other people have said]. They are like music husband and wife haha

Sadly I think I'm one of the few people that don't want her to go down the dance route. I'm all for uptempo tracks but I detest dance/electro music. If she were to go down that route I'd rather it just be for collaborations [like what Florence Welch has successfully done with Calvin Harris in the past]... But to me, Leona's voice is so rare... HOWEVER, although I'm a huge fan, she doesn't fall into the 'cool' category [that may not be a popular opinion on here] haha. But I don't mean it in a bad way.. in fact I think it's a good thing. 'Cool' artists normally have short lived careers. Celine Dion is so uncool it's unbelievable and look at the career she has had hahah

I think she needs powerful songs with POWERFUL lyrics that really connect with people. Remember those classics she performed on X Factor??? Bridge Over Troubled Water, Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word... THAT'S the Leona people fell in love with... Not the Leona that Sang 'Collide'... not hating on Collide.. It's great haha

Leona's voice is so rare, that she needs more than a generic dance track.. She's 30 now [still young] but she's not going to appeal to most 14 year old's buying dance tracks.. She has the potential to appeal to a wider adult demographic, like Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Joni Mitchell, Annie Lennox etc...

P.S. I would also love to hear more R and B stuff... Don't let me down is moody and soulful... one of my favourites haha

Sorry about the long post

I agree! I think Leona's dance music is amazing.

But I think she shouldn't go down that route completely. Ideally, I'd like Leona to be the female Sam Smith. Does dance music on the side with famous DJs, but release quality albums with music that doesn't just follow the crowd.

Welcome. Always good to have new voices.

Like everyone else has said. Sounds like the perfect balance.

As Cats followed by Oasis shows, Leona can continue by having a varied and interesting career because of her versatility.

It would just be great if one of the collars, or a powerful ballad were to connect more widely.

Is it true she's been filming for a video?

Don't see why Leona can't just do a bit of everything. I mean most of her albums have dance/uptempos to them and big power ballads and everything in between.

For LL6 I want a full body of work that has a set sound. I'd love a disco-pop album by Leona. A really classy image (as always ), powerful vocals, euphoric up-tempos, rousing disco ballads. I don't mean disco in the dated sense, something funky. I know the song is two years old now but Crying For No Reason is the kind of track I mean.

I think that has been her problem with previous albums tbh

I don't think the type of material of her previous albums has been an issue. It's more so been the single choices and promotion. Flop singles = flop album pretty much.

It's always the single choices! I really think I am had no strong singles though. FUMF should have been amazing!! But even to this day I can't put my finger on why I couldn't connect to it.. why it didn't click.. something was missing in the music

50% of Glassheart could have been replaced by stronger songs. Fingerprint, Un Love Me, Stop the Clocks, When It Hurts, potentially Lovebird could've all been scrapped.

I'm constantly checking to see if any news has dropped.

Not Un Love Me that is a highlight for me, even think it could have worked as a single, well further into the campaign.

And same, every hour I am on checking.

I totally agree with this. I think Leona's voice is just perfect for R&B.
