Ye we should. It was at 214k a week or two ago though, so likely in the 225k range or maybe even more.

Her 3 year old Christmas song, this year alone has outsold or at least will outsell all of her singles from the I Am era combined (in the U.K.) . I guess it shows that there are still people out there willing to buy her music, proving that she can still be current. But I'll never understand why Fire Under My Feet wasn't a hit or wouldn't even be played by the big radio stations, it was her most instantly likeable song since a Bleeding Love (besides OMS). Definitely better than Trouble but still never even got playlisted by BBC Radio 1.

I do like Fire Under My Feet, but I don't think its amazing or a huge smash that got away to be honest.

It definitely could have performed a tonne better had it got promo outside the UK in places like Germany etc, but there is something about its production that ages it up. I do actually get why Radio 1 and especially Capital didn't playlist it, Heart is still disappointing.

I have always said the hook is there but the production isn't right, had it been produced by someone like Ryan Tedder it might have been better and felt fresher. I don't really know how to explain it.

I think the song itself was great, but in retrospect, I think "I Am" was not produced well at all. I don't understand why considering Toby Gad is extremely successful & reputable. Maybe it had something to do with the post-production? Like mixing or engineering.
I love the album, but a lot of the production sounds like they're demo-quality at certain points. I wonder if it's because Leona produced the album independently before bringing it to Island.

So nice to see it chart at #70 without it's biggest day of sales (tomorrow) yet!
Also up at spot to #42 on the sales charts.
Will be nice to hopefully see at updated sales figure.

"Mr Right" is on another frontpage playlist called "Under The Mistletoe" (~46k followers)

I agree, the live version of the song sounds much more alive. The overall I am album is a bit dry and monotonous for me.
But then again, Glassheart was playful and melodical and wasnt exactly a success.
I think Leona should find a great single to catch the public interest AND make a great album to win fans back and critical acclaim. If Glassheart had a great lead single it would have done really well, I am was doomed from the beginning.

Also, both OMS and Mr Right are included on the "Christmas pop" playlist with 695k followers featured on the front page too

Just taking the opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. Thank you Soe for keeping us up to date, and everyone who keeps this thread alive. OMS is getting a fair bit of airplay this year. It is such an upbeat song.

Re: I Am, I agree with the consensus that the production let the album - and FUMF in particular - down. It still has some gems on it (Power, TEOM) but for LL6 I hope for a more slick production and a surefire hit to give the album a chance. If I was Leona, I'd make the next lead single a powerhouse vocal. After all, her voice sets her apart from other pop girls. Maybe Clean Bandit could nab her for a feature?

I would really love it if Leona would take a more pure, understated direction for her next album. Almost minimalistic with just a piano maybe? Her voice sounds so good on the more acoustic tracks. She doesn't really have that understated track yet.

Either that or a more alternative soul/r&b route. I think that would suit her voice so well.
