This has been going on since just before Echo was released in 2009. So many melt downs about how her career is over, and her voice is gone.

So much drama.

It's definitely not best that way! It's nice to have balanced honest opinions - most liked about the radio 2 gig and now most didn't think tonight was great! Nice and balanced!

Is it just me who misses Leona's old backing vocalists? I don't think I am keen on the new ones she has been using, I don't feel like their tone meshes well with Leona.

Whatttttt who hated Leona's X factor performances? She was truly impeccable; or are you talking about the one with Ben Haenow? He truly dragged her down but she sounded spectacular especially when you try to block his vocals out!

Oh yessss I miss them; they truly brought us some amazing moments and there was a lot of vocal chemistry... I actually just watched the performance and there was a lot of cringe going on. Leona looked very beautiful, like a supermodel singing! I don't know what it is but her voice doesn't seem to be as audible probably because of the Mic; she needs Sohyang or Beyonce's kind of mic. Also I think she may need to improvise at times; for instance if her voice can't handle upper belting at a certain time she should try to hit a mid belted note that goes in line with the song. That would be a lot more powerful! Her backing vocalists were quite off at the end they seemed a tired... Oh I would gladly love to fill in as Leona's backing vocalist if she would have me . And the audience were perhaps the biggest ticket to cringedom, they looked very unimpressed and seemed even hesitant to clap...

Who the hell made the audio STRAIGHT to her mic feed. Jesus Christ.

I was deeply saddened by some tweet last night about Leona , some of the tweets were the usual boring horse jokes and just basically stupid remarks and i can usually ignore but one tweet really upset me , don't know how anyone can be so cruel

See, the problem is that Leona is a singer, not an entertainer or a showgirl. People like Madonna can lose their voice and still attract crowds, but if Leona loses her main asset, her voice, she's done I'm afraid.

Its awful isnt it sometimes in here..I do think it has a lot to do with age? some fans are like spoilt kids that are not getting what they want and throw their toys out the pram when it isnt what they want...it is clearly the live streammike...and FUMF was/is a harder song for Leona to sing she said herself on this album she has challenged herself..the whole point is to keep singing to push/train her voice i reckon...yes what short memories from 2 days earlier lol ..then OMG OMG ...I do think it is the youngsters that go over the top..

I know everyone is trying to be positive and make excuses, and saying the I GOT belt was good. However:

The fact of the matter is Leona isn't what she used to be. She cannot sing as well as she did in 2011, and she mixes songs around to hide the fact her voice is thin and she can't maintain a long note.

Also, it's sad that people are relieved that it sounded better on TV because 'her voice was hidden' !!!!! That is not a good thing - she sounds good because we can't hear her actual voice is all that means - just like Cheryl lip-syncing.

It's harsh but I've loved Leona since X Factor but the fact of the matter is she doesn't take advice from what songs she should go for and her voice is weak now

I love how she always thanks and waves bye to the paparazzi when she's on the red carpet. Shes so cute 😂How could anyone not like her.

I'm not going to argue with you, her voice doesn't sound comfortable. I think she sounds okay on really slow songs like Run and Time After Time because they don't require her to transition from register points quickly like FUMF does. All of the sustained notes on Run are open throat belts so they're not too tricky (for Leona). It's not her fault she's lost some of her voice. It's definitely a health issue. I thought she was on the way back up but her ability seems completely random. She and the label must not think it's going to improve or I don't think they'd have her releasing albums and promoting until it got better.

You're right, the clean vocal should have been great. Had this been a few years ago, being able to hear the clean vocal on the live track would have been in her favour because she was an exceptional singer with a great understanding of her own voice. I feel sorry for her that this has happened. She obviously knows that her voice has changed. Unless her voice improves (which I don't believe she can control), I don't think we can expect her to revive her career. I wonder if it is nodules and she is just really scared of the operation.

I think if she had nodules she'd have had the operation, wouldn't they destroy a voice if left?

Why do people argue over matters of personal taste on Twitter? It's never going to convince anyone. I don't understand how people get so worked up about criticism. I wouldn't get this worked up if someone said this stuff about me or my sister or anyone. It's just an opinion.
