The disdain directed toward Louisa is really odd, especially since she could easily be on here as a Leona fan if circumstances were a bit different. I don't see the need for a comparison. If Simon thinks Louisa's better then that's fine. There are loads of amazing singers out there and everyone's gonna have their favourite. I love Leona and have for ages but she's not my favourite artist. For me I love her voice and what she represents but I know some people who can't stand her and think Louisa's in a different league to Leona. I just think it's people expressing themselves. And there's loads of big singers out there like Jessie J, Adele, Ariana among probably a whole bunch of others I can't remember. For me, Leona stands out but for others Leona doesn't and it's somebody else.

I can see One More Sleep in the top 100 chart update, so that's good!

Eh not surprising. Joe has his small core fanbase which are avid poll voters (beaten Leona in polls many times before), same with James Arthur and Little Mix are currently much bigger than Leona.

It saddens me that Leona released her best album this year and it's going to remain ignored like this.

Look how it revived Ellie Goulding's career!!! That album was supposed to be flopped and coudn't top the chart. But she that's what help her and she continues to have chance to sing big songs for big movies like FSOG.

Leona should defiantly do the next avatar. It would be a huge privilege if they asked her. They should properly promote it though because it has the potential to be massive because of how many people watched avatar.

You know she's amazing but I think I've just figured out what it is about Leona, it's the distinct timbre shifts in each register. I know lots of singing teachers teach that you should have a consistent timbre all the way through but I think that's what makes her sounds so great. When she soars into the higher notes, her voice is just electric but on her low notes she's got a sort of Tracy Chapman sound and her falsetto is Carey-esque. I think that's the main reason that she's individually so appealing.

You're right. I watched other videos from that girl and she's an amazing vocalist but I was bored after a while. And that's the difference between a vocalist and an artist.

I think I see what you mean. Her voice blends so many styles. A result of her eclectic taste in music. She utilises some of her opera training to soar on certain notes, some soul/R&B technique and also she can sound bluesy, not to mention some influence from folk. At her best, she instinctively blends all these influences to convey the meaning of the song and emote.

It's what I love about her voice, but perhaps why she is so difficult to market.

Totally agree. Sometimes it is very difficult to put into words why Leona is unique, but you have hit the nail on the head.

I agree with what everyone says Leona is more about subtlety, tone and ease in singing (at least before). Leona looks and sounds like an angel just singing really gently and you're usually just in awe.

Leona's voice is unique, I could recognise her voice in seconds if an uknown song of hers came on the radio suddenly. That's what makes her special
