10 Stories of what I believe are considered the weakest ones since the show returned. My original play was to pick one from each series and Christmas special, but this didn't work as series 2 had to absolute stinkers. But as I wanted to keep the poll to 10, I decided to omit anything from series 4 as it has no outright terrible episode.

I'm sure people will moan about the selection, but hopefully I've picked the weakest for the poll!

In no particular order:

1. Fear Her
2. The Doctor's Daughter
3. The Idiot's Lantern
4. The Sound of Drums / Last of the Timelords
5. And a bunch of Series 6 River Song ones so unmemorable I don't even know what they're called.

I quite enjoyed a lot of those episodes. Love and Monsters was great imo- Peter Kay's character aside.

Sleep No More, The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe and Rings of Akhaten are probably the least enjoyable for me. Fear Her was kinda average as well.

Why do people not like victory of the daleks.
I found it a great episode.

Love and Monsters. Everything I disliked about RTD's writing wrapped up into 45 minutes of pure terror. Some of the most immature and cringey TV Doctor Who has ever done.

Mind you, at least the Abzorbaloff wasn't constantly farting and making toilet jokes.

Aliens of London/WW3 and Love And Monsters don't bother me, I don't skip them on a series re-watch. I think they are nice character episodes despite their faults.

Unfortunately, Let's Kill Hitler isn't on the list so I'll have to plump for Widow and the Wardrobe.

I believe there is a dislike for the colourful Daleks and a general complaint about the lack of humour or engaging dialogue.
The OP has stated they have picked their weakest story or percieved weakest story from each series generally. So it is always going to be this or The Beast Below I would think.
For me parts of Victory are enjoyable but it just does not hit the spot. I would not have it in a bottom ten Doctor Who story.
From the list provided I chose Fear Her, very dull throughout and a cringeworthy ending I never enjoy.

Not sure why Fear Her is hated so much. There have been far, far worse episodes, and many of them too! Where, for example, is Let's Kill Hitler? (Actually, you could pick any series 6 episode at random and it would be worse than Fear Her but Let's Kill Hitler was especially dreadful).

Love and Monsters, on the other hand, is not only the worst 45 minutes to have been transmitted under the banner of Doctor Who but 45 of the worst minutes I've ever seen on television. It stank so much the smell was almost drifting out of the TV. I'd rather sit through an episode of Hollyoaks than ever see Love and Monsters again.

Sleep No More...it's the only Doctor Who episode I've ever switched off out of boredom. Love and Monsters a very close second.

I'm in the minority of actually liking Black Spot...one of the few S6 episodes that didn't totally stink for me.

sorry but its a pointless poll. Its essentially asking 'what do you think is the worst episode out of the episodes I think are the worst?' and im not remotely interested in the answer to that question.

Easily In the Forest of the Night. Most of the others have at least some redeeming features, but I seriously wonder how this ever got past the scripting stage, let alone made it to the screen.

The doctor, the widow and the wardrobe and night terrors are a close joint second.

I also rate Name of the doctor as a terrible episode, but it slightly redeemed by it's pre credits sequence, and the fact that at least it failed trying to do something spectacular, it's just that the writing wasn't up to scratch to match the ambition.

Yes sleep.no more actually sent me to sleep. The genuine turkey of season 9. Still can't forgive missing out the credits.

For many a year Love and Monsters was for me the worst episode of New Who ever.

Then Rings Of Athaken came along and aside from the Pre-Credits sequence, there is hardly anything likeable about this episode. Just a pointless episode of even more pointless singing.

I watched this episode with my Dad. Even if he doesn't quite understand an episode he'll stick with it, cos he always find something he likes.

However, this episode he walked out of the room after ten minutes in boredom and even when he did nip back in, he couldn't believe what he was hearing and seeing.

Just a travesty of an episode that should imo never have been made and made Love And Monsters seem somewhat likeable in comparison.

Worst Who? Always tricky as even the poorest has some things I like. So going with most forgettable, which I'd probably say is Planet of the Dead. Prefer lesser stories if they cause some sort of reaction...this was so bland I had *nothing*. Nothing at all. The ultimate 'shrug' episode for me....

Fear Her is lacking in any redeeming features whatsoever. This cannot be said about all the episodes on the list. Love and Monsters did have some good ideas (L.i.n.d.a. and Elton's childhood experience of the Doctor) and there were some decent performances by the guest cast like Marc Warren. However, I completely understand the loathing of the episode and dislike much of it myself.

Let's Kill Hitler is, I confess, my guilty DW pleasure as I found the episode hugely entertaining in a 'don't think just go along with it' way! If nothing else Rory punching Hitler and locking him in a cupboard is worthy of a little bit of love!

Rings of Akhaten.

Even more cringeworthy than this years X Factor grand final... with dodgy CGI thrown in.

Where is The End of Time? One of the most over-baked, ill-conceived, self-indulgent, boring episodes ever.

The Doctor moans about saving Wilf? He dosen't deserve to be called Doctor for this week, I'll tell you.
