You didnt answer the question, that faster storage doesnt need there to be no sdcard socket. They can do both.
Also a slimmer device = bad, its harder to pick up and hold.
I have a plastic back cover on my S5 as without it it was way too hard to grip properly.
Seems too many people now days only care about how stylish a phone looks.
Saying something belongs in the past you need a good technical reason, been out of fashion isnt a reason.
Really What I want is this.
New models every 2-3 years instead of annually, means they put more focus on supporting their products longer and there is a larger technical gap between each product.
More modular, so more things are swappable. So batteries, sdcards, ram, more sockets for addon devices such as portable keyboards etc.
Thicker phones, so they easier to pick up and hold, as well as the side of the phones been wider so there is protection for the screen (this one is hard to explain), e.g. my galaxy ace which is now a 5+ year old budget model phone from samsung has the highest build quality of any samsung phone I have seen, yes including the s6. It has a metal edge, quite thick, the edge overlaps the screen so e.g. if placed upside down the screen doesnt make contact with the surface as is raised, this also prevents accidental contact with edge of touchscreen when holding, usb socket has slide cover.
Front high quality speakers. Its a sad state of affairs when my 7 year old nokia 6420 has a better speaker than my £500 galaxy s5.
Return of FM radio capability, I believe this only got removed at the carrier's request as they want people to use digital services instead.
More physical buttons, including a way to dial for emergency services without seeing what you doing (like could on old phones).
Optional resolution, there is no need for things like HD, quad HD etc. on a 5inch screen, its just marketing junk, let me lower the resolution to something sane like 720p or 480p.
5 year support of OS updates, specifically even better have the google updates sent directly to device bypassing carriers.
