Survey for course

Hi everyone,

I am currently studying for a qualification in which one of the units requires me to collect some data. I have created a survey based on smartphones and in particular people's perception of Windows phone. I would be grateful if some of you could take part in this survey for me as I need data asap to write an evaluation: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MFM35J8

Thanks for your help

I've done it, but ratings 1-17? Seriously?

1-10 not good enough anymore?

Haha I was just providing people with the most options possible - thank you by the way

It's a ranking exercise not a rating. There are 17 criteria, and you have to put them in order. But the questionnaire is badly designed, as it doesn't say whether 1 is most important or 17 is most important.

I assume 1 is, but all participants may not.

I see that now, that's just stupid, far too many choices to decide from 1 to 17.

Also forces a type of hierarchy which may not represent the participants' views accurately. Two features may be of equal importance, which you cannot indicate.

Yes, I gave up on it when I realised that was how it worked.

To be constructive, I'd suggest the original poster re-configures the survey and presents each of the 17 elements separately as individual 'rank the importance of this element from 1 - 5, where 1 is the most important' type questions. I'd be tempted to cut it back from 17 if possible, as the survey will be very long with them separated out....

Thanks for your constructive feedback, I guess I didn't think that one out too well... I'm in a rush to get this data! If you're on desktop it is easier to answer that particular question as you can just drag and drop the answers in the right order. By the way, 1 is the most important and 17 is the least important. Thank you to everyone who has made the effort to complete the survey it's a real help.

I would change that question but I can't make a new survey and ask people to fill it in all over again at this point

Don't worry, it wasn't as bad as the miserable gits above are making out. The hardest part was thinking up 10 W10M features without mentioning continuum.
