I thought I'd be the person to start of this week's Doctor Who dedicated thread for the episode tonight this week. I hope you don't mind. Hopefully someone will submit a poll to Digital Spy soon.

All discussion relating to this week's episode and other Doctor Who stuff to go in here.

Poll requested.

for ref:
Last weeks poll 484 votes.

negative = 4.55 %
neutral = 9.09 %
positive = 86.36 %

So far all the episodes have approximately the same level of +ve votes. Although "The Unquiet Dead" episode beats the rest by 2%.

The only thing of significance is that for the first time the number of "good" votes was greater than the "excellent" votes. negative results was slightly down (transferred to neutral).

Cheers Deaddog for doing the biz for us as usual...much appreciated.

Any thoughts or theories as to what caused the slight change in the poll for last weeks episode?

I have to say that I voted last week's episode as Good, based on comparison with the excellent Unquiet Dead. There was nothing specifically wrong with episode 4, it was just aimed a little more at kids, which is as it should be. I cringed at the farting, particularly as I watched it with a friend who hadn't seen the new series yet, but let's face facts - if a predominantly adult forum can still clasp a kids show to its bosom as it has, then RTD has got it right: a show that appeals to all ages.

Counting down the minutes til WWIII

Anothe great episode.

Step down from the preious ones (apart from Rose) imho, but overall still worthy of an Excellent rating.

It all started off a bit silly. The soldiers not shooting the Doctor immedietely on the order and then watching him disappear into a lift was stupid.

As was being able to gain access to missile launch controls etc with a single dictionary password. Wouldn't last 5 seconds in a brute force attack

Other than that, I really enjoyed it yet again.

You know, I hated Doctor Who when it started, I really hated it. But it's definitely grown on me, to the point where I turned over 5 minutes early in case I missed anything.

I liked the little touches in this episode - the 'massive weapons of destruction' jibes, Mickey pausing to take a photo of the Slitheen with his phone etc. I'm not sure that I liked the look of next week's trailer (didja catch a glimpse of Todd from Corrie? ), but if this series has taught me anything, it's not to jump to conclusions

I'm looking forward to next weeks episode, I love daleks . Todays episode was okay, didnt see the point in using the missle when most of the aliens were watching the phone.

Can't wait for the return of the Daleks next week when they try to wipe out the USA. hehe now that would be an idea. (no offence, just a joke)

I dont think the coming next pit will do the next episode any justice. Its supposed to be dark and oyschological!
