The songs for Georgia and Jay are very blah. Can't see a stunning showdance with those songs - both very forgettable songs. Expected better song choices.

Kellie & Kevin's song seems to suggest they'll be understated as ever but should be a memorable routine nevertheless.

Love Katie & Anton's song though. They need to do a full throttle dance given that song though - half-assed won't do.
Can't help feeling though (even though Anton selected the song) that it's a very Gleb choice of song from Anton. I can totally imagine Gleb & Anita dancing to that as a showdance and the sort of gloriously bombastic choreography that would result. Will be interesting to see what Katie and Anton do and also how the singers handle a song like that.

They sung it fine in March during the Peoples' Strictly.

That is a much more upbeat version of the song than the original If the song is arranged with a more latin feel it could be good, as it is originally though so laid back they would be horizontal!!

Least favourite there is Georgia and Giovanni's. i assume we're in for a sott wafting number with Georgia wearing Anita's white rumba bedsheet. Really not a fan of this sort of showdance.
Jay's song is very meh, generic pop song.

If Katie and Anton pull off O fortuna it could be a real showstopper.
Kellie and Kevin's could be great too.

Interesting that the two underdogs have the best music, IMO.

I've been to see Anton and Erin's tour and if memory serves they've never used it. They have used "Libertango" to perform an amazing tango though.

When they played O Fortuna on ITT I was praying it would be Katie's. I did a little dance when it was confirmed.

All the other songs seems very meh to me and I'm not intending to show bias there. I hate Coldplay, don't know Kellie's at all and I've only heard Jay's on an advert and it doesn't sound very overwhelming.

Very Highbrow.

Ironic that X-Factor got its lowest viewing figures ever.”

"O Fortuna" is pretty iconic, so hope we don't get another Bruno tantrum.
Carl Orff's Carmina Burana contains lots of sexual content, so O Fortuna is about the only bit of it that is family-friendly. It really needs a huge choir, so I wonder if Dave Arch will just make an instrumental arrangement, as I don't want to hear too much of Hayley's top register.

To me,"O fortuna" will always be 'Old Spice' https://youtu.be/oL5S6cm7J5g?t=29

Lots of great tunes in Carmina Burana apart from O Fortuna, which opens and closes the piece.

Worth a listen all through if you get a chance - one movement being sung by an extremely high male tenor voice depicting a skewered turkey roasting on a spit...

Me too - I even brought some Old Spice as a girl - but as my father had a beard I just kept it for myself

It only goes to show that the "old" music is far more effective than some of the new.

So........
Having just seen footage on ITT how the heck do you fit tango into Coldplay and why would you? Or AT? Unless they use the final instrumental bit towards the end of Fix You for a few seconds worth. My flabber is gasted !
Kellie's lindy hop looks the business.

It's not very highbrow, it's very easy to listen to and is often on the radio.

Kellie's Charleston is def her fave dance not judges choice, says it on the BBC blog, they'll be revealing them throughout the week, so far K&K have chosen Charleston.

O Fortuna has been used twice before on Strictly. The first time was for Natasha and Brendan's paso in the first series. Richard and Erin also danced the paso to it.

Oh no, as a J&A fan this is just going from bad to worse... no chance of doing jive moves to that music or his signature spins... Aliona what have you done???!!!

I love Katie and Anton's music.

I don't have a favourite now so am entirely open to someone wowing me. That music choice certainly sets them off on the right path.

You've seen 10 seconds from a 1 min 45 routine.

I think the poster was referring to the music choice, not the footage on ITT. The music doesn't exactly lend itself to jive moves. As the J&A showdance is going to be a showcase mish-mash of moves from all their previous dances, I imagine at least a few of the moves from that jive will be included as well.
