I don't but the one big family thing. We know James Jordan dislikes Kevin and Karen , although he's been complimentary about Kevin's choreography this year. Aliona once sued Brendan, so I can't imagine there's any love lost there either.

I thought James Jordan disliked everyone except himself and presumably his wife.

What makes life more difficult for them is not just the vitriol seeping through the Forums (though the pros must be used to ignoring that by now) but the eavesdropping and picking up of fag ends to feed through to lazy journos. The worst case was Anton's unfortunate exclamation to Laila Rouass, that got blown up out of all proportions, but there have been other more recent cases, no need to enumerate, just to regret that they happened.

The line up of celebs this year had particularly nice people in it, not a bitter lemon in the bunch. yep, not even Jamelia, who is reported to be far nicer in the flesh than her personality on Loose Women.

I think this seems to be a pretty tight group of pro dancers this year, especially the female pro's. The celebs all seem to get along as well - although I think a lot of that is down to them picking the right personalities and also their own 'team building' nights playing Eggheads on a Friday early in the year.”

BIB exactly this

I think it's a big love in this year. The celebs really do seem to get on brilliantly and I love the thought of their what's app group.

What happened between Karen and Ola?

I think she was right. It was misleading to think she is in when she's not. But I think it was arranged amicably.

Ah thank you

I know he uses a French lady who has a passing resemblance to Aliona on his show now.

(Though I have heard from a reliable source that Jimmy Tarbuck still insists to this day that the 25 minutes he spent on the show were the greatest damned 25 minutes of his entire life )”

Right, got you

Another one who probably didn't have the time of her life was Jan Ravens...remember her? As the legend goes, her husband had to be restrained in the BBC bar the night she was voted off as he was going to throttle Craig.

Is she one who shouted "I hope you're happy now" at the judges on the night she was voted off (pre dance off)?

Lynda Bellingham and Jessie Wallace both also hated their time on the show with a passion.

It's a curious career as a pro dancer. Start in competitions as rivals, rub along as colleagues in showbiz, with occasional rivalry resurfacing as in SCD and there must be some rivalry resurfacing in teaching. Like most theatre, there has to be some appearance of a company or the whole thing falls apart. Dance is inevitably a smaller circle than theatre in general. There may be a few individuals who don't get on but anyone picking arguments with any regularity or presenting less than a professional attitude is going to have a limited career.

I'm absolutely kicking myself that I didn't include her in my list of people who have been less than effusive about their Strictly experience

I'm gutted that dignified exit isn't on YouTube

Her foxtrot isn't available either - which is a shame as her elegant 'swan dive' at the end of that was a thing of beauty

I believe she was supposed to gracefully fall sideways into Anton's arms ... But he didn't catch her, possibly because she was in the wrong position. She went down like a bag of hammers. It was a stunning manoeuvre.

I wouldn't have imagined this at all. Thanks for telling me. I didn't watch that series so all of this is interesting news to me.

Both Darren's partners...*looks surreptitiously at her side*

The Celebrities do seem to be a friendly lot this year. K

Jason G, the choreographer, said on ITT that he left them practising for a group dance for half an hour and when he came back they'd finished and were having a group hug. He'd never known that before.

Person who was at the show the week Helen went out said Jay went round and hugged the others just before the elimination. Jeremy Vine in his blog, Jay on ITT and Katie in her news article all said Peter was supportive. Daniel O'D still sings to them.”

Is that last arguing for or against...?

Thanks for all the scoop! You're giving me advice about which series to order on dvds next. Jan Raven's sounds worth it! I already got Fiona Phillips' series because watching her dance can cheer me up when nothing else can.

Vorderman didn't even turn up for the final. Such was the flounce.

Lynda Bellingham apparently hated her partner, a certain Darren Bennett.

Austin Healey is still bitter.

Very interesting. I always thought he was dismissed because he was bikering with the judges over Denise van Outen scores.
