I think he's already married. To a woman.
I thought so. I need to marry someone with a Birmingham accent that's for sure.

Because Richard was already doing it with a business partner. That partner has grounds to sue if he leaves and sets up with Sugar. It was similar to Jordan a few years back
Also raised the Luisa issue that she already had 3 businesses. His Lordship just isn't consistent. Richard and Luisa couldn't offer a new business and keep their existing ones. Joe seemingly can. Charleine can't be helped to expand locally - Joe can. Joe's plan fell apart, and he stayed on promise to develop something else -others went as soon as their plan fell apart.

Couldn't understand why Tricky Dicky's plan was (mainly) shot down in flames because it was just doing what he does now
Yet the plumbers plan was totally based on what he does now - but that wasn't an issue
I would assume (given nothing was said about it during the dissecting of the businesses in the episode) that Joe is the sole owner of his current business, which he's being upfront about wanting to expand.

Richard has a business which he has 50% stakes in, but wants to start up a new business with Suggs.
If Richard owned his current one and wanted to expand it, then there wouldn't be an issue. However because there is another owner...

I gave up on The Apprentice years ago but still watch the interview episode because I love to see them get ripped to shreds.

When that graphic was revealed to be a copy of an existing one I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.

I'm glad they kept Claude in too although from the edit he seemed a bit soft on them because he'd been following them around.

He didn't appear to give them as tough a time as he has in previous series but still the interview round wouldn't be the same without him.

He was smart enough to have a contingency plan ready if there was trouble. He's no fool
I agree .. If Richard had come similarly prepared, I think there might have been three in the final.

I was really pleasantly surprised with this interview episode. Easily one of the best of the series to date. It was nice that they toned down the aggressiveness and actually probed a little more. All of the candidates managed to come off pretty well and I felt like I saw a different side to most of them. Maybe a sign of how badly the rest of the series has been edited.

But didn't Charleine want to move to London to open an Acqdemy alongside a salon? I think that if her business plan was to expand locally in her area, she would have been in with a better chance.

Both Richard and Luisa were proposing to remain controlling parties in separate businesses that were nothing to do with Lord Sugar. His point is valid. He wants somebody for whom this is their sole focus. In Joseph's case, like Tom, he's asking for investment into an existing business in return for going 50/50 with Lord Sugar. There is a very clear difference.

A lot of colleges now provide a salon and training facilities for hair & beauty so its probably not that great an idea unless it is with a famous name above the door and the London rents etc would soon start eating up serious money and thats before you consider the cost of kitting out the place with all the tools of the trade and paying for 2-3 instructors.
