Taylor looked up for it when he won his first set,, then someone shouted something which threw him a bit, Klassen almost lost it, then Taylor went and blew it at the end
Get the feeling we're seeing the dying of the Taylor light to be honest, I know he's been written off hundreds of times but this time I get the feeling he's starting to accept it, he surprisingly warmly accepted defeat there.

Great performance from Klassen. Showed some real fight.”
He also threw some really awful darts at times though to be fair

Indeed.
It seemed as though the D18 Klaasen missed was going to be the pivotal moment, but in the end it turned out to be the dart at tops that Taylor missed as he played like a drain from that point onwards.
Very even match; both players threw gold, both threw dross, there were fine margins all over the place but ultimately Klaasen edged the one that really mattered.

I think you've been listening to the Sky guys too much. There have been 4 or 5 good games but on the whole it's not been a vintage worlds yet. Up until MVG v RVB last night we had seen far too many one sided matches. Thankfully the tide seems to have turned.

He did and the game was there for the taking and he nearly lost it himself. He bounced back from the setbacks though and didn't really let the bad legs drag him down.

Hence why I said before the QF stage. The early rounds are more likely to see one sided games.
You forgot to mention RvB v Bunting which was a classic.

it was amazing how he went from an awful leg, with scores of 41 and 45 around that on the way, then come back with some quality stuff just when you thought he was out of it.

Didn't see that game to be honest, was out that night.
Sometimes in the later rounds we can often see the one sided games. Usually the semi finals. I hope that doesn't happen here with a few players getting further than ever before. I have a feeling the Lewis v Wright game could be an absolute belter. The treble 20 bed will be battered
