Oh for F**K sake!! I watch most of the tournament... I watch the entire first semi final. I then decide to go to the bathroom just before the match starts and I miss a 9-darter!!!

ARGHHHHH!!!!!!

Barney and Part both did it 9 years apart, guess Taylor is the only one.
Part also did it 9 years apart.

Oops, I see you've edited your post.

Always think it shows how much the standard has improved over the last decade that a 9 darter is not nearly as big a deal as when Taylor did that first live one in 2002 (yeah I know Shaun Greatbatch did one on Dutch tv but I'm applying Sky logic ) I remember he had dozens of near misses and it was practically only him getting close then when he finally did it it was massive!

These days any of the top guys can hit one and you get 4-5 on tv every year. The only thing which would be nearly as big now would be if someone finally broke the 25 year drought for one at Lakeside! Got to happen one year.

I cant see anyone doing a Nine Darter at the BDO as the standard is not as good as it was but i think Glen Durrant did one recently so you never know

Actually taking about what would be the next big thing in 9 darters seeing Andersons second shot at a 9 dart reminded me of MVG almost getting 2 9 darters back to back a couple of years back. Was about a mm away from being the greatest thing I've ever seen on a dartboard!

Jelle has run into a guy playing darts from a different planet tonight, got no hope!

Those pesky bigger trebles on the PDC boards sure do help.......

Jelle blobbing these deciding fifth legs of sets is killing this as a contest, can't see Klaasen coming back like Barney

Anderson is playing great tonight.

If he plays like this tomorrow, you feel it would bring the very best out of Lewis too and we could have an incredible final!

Anderson averaging 110.29 and doubling at 57%.

I guess that's what you'd describe as a complete performance

Those pesky bigger trebles on the PDC boards sure do help.......
Wasn't that proven to be a myth?

Lewis is the only player to have played in a PDC world final not to lose one. Be a tough record to maintain assuming Gando polishes the job off here. Toss of a coin job though really

Lewis will have plenty 11/12 dart legs where gando won't be able to do a thing so it'll be interesting to see how he copes when the game is out of his hands at times

I would have liked to have seen Klaason have a go in the final, but this has been a real treat to see Anderson playing like this

Bit of an Anti climax tonight. First game could easily have been 6-0 as well.

Great final tomorrow though, hope it lives up to expectations!

And even then it was a great checkout! (because ofc he hit the double 4).

Still don't understand how he miscounted. If he thought he needed 128, surely he would've gone treble 18 first? Anyway, didn't matter in the end!

Edit: unless he actually aimed for double 18 thinking he needed 156...

While it was very one-sided you couldn't help but just look on in awe at that Anderson performance
