Wish the crowd would shut up with their idiotic chanting and watch properly like they do at the BDO 🙄
nah I personally prefer the loud atmosphere.

Especially the lo lo lo lo ya ya chant........do you know what they are actually saying?
just some banter!

one side chants kolo, kolo, kolo toure then the other responds with yaya, yaya, yaya toure!

all good fun

It's amazing those at the BDO stop awake. I watched a bit of it earlier and the darts wasn't much better than pub standard.
Agree, shocking but at least the crowd look interested in the game rather than just getting pissed!

If I was Adrian Lewis, I'd consider myself quite fortunate to still be on level terms at this point.

Agree, shocking but at least the crowd look interested in the game rather than just getting pissed!
Unfortunately, people who prefer the latter have the most money and are the reason the winner will receive a cheque for £300K tonight.

Yes the same chants do get a bit boring, kolo & Yaya Toure songs included.
Why does Anderson always keep miscounting when he is on a finish
Cos he's thick ?
I just hope Gando wins tonight. Would be the more deserving winner.
More deserving, why?

Personally I don't think the standard of the final has yet reached the heights I'd expected.

Proved a costly miscount by Gando then....

They are having fun. It's what makes it one of the hottest ticketed events in town.

nah I personally prefer the load atmosphere.
I think it's because it's the same four or so chants over and over........and they look a bit silly.

At least we haven't had the usual "Walking in a (insert name) Wonderland" one

Unless I missed it earlier on in the tournament

Kolo toure, yaya toure.

Does my head in too, but not as much as the boring tables chant.

I bet it would be fun to be there, being pissed and joining in, but being sober at home and hearing the same chants every time gets a bit tiresome

But did you see Scott Mitchell against Craig Caldwell earlier the standard was up there with PDC

A few years ago I would have loved to have gone, but they seem to have gone too ott now.

They were always rowdy and fun but it's just gone ridiculous lately.

The difference in the crowds is that most for the Worlds, same as the PL, go for that night so go for a piss up and to watch the darts. The Lakeside event, and to be fair it is the same in Blackpool at the PDC Matchplay, the crowd tend to have gone for the week or at least a few days so they are darts fans primarily and respect the action.

Topsy turvy, inconsistent final so far.

Incidentally, I couldn't help but notice that both the BBC and the Guardian are running live update reports on the final on their websites.

It wasn't so long ago that the PDC final didn't merit a single mention on either.

Most of them are, they have full time jobs and play for fun so to compare them is like comparing the Conference North with the Championship.

Also the game you probably saw this afternoon was a preliminary game, which wasn't great but then again some of the PDC Prelim matches were shocking too.

The BBC don't have an issue with mentioning the PDC, it's been mentioned quite a few times on the Lakeside coverage.

The Sky muppets however.......
