Lewis goes through peaks and troughs sometimes he looks like he can't miss.

Then suddenly he can't hit a thing

The BBC don't have an issue with mentioning the PDC, it's been mentioned quite a few times on the Lakeside coverage.

The Sky muppets however.......
Not sure about that

In past years trying to find any mention of the PDC on the BBC weebsite was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

This weekend the BBC have mentioned Ally Pally loads. They even interviewed Alan Norris about his PDC run, something Sky didn't do

There's definitely been a change this year.

More recognition of the PDC by the BBC.

Which can only be a good thing.

Anderson to me always looks like has that extra gear when required. I think it's taking a huge effort from Lewis to stay in the game but the later it goes on he will drop off.

Both averaging 99 in a world final after 7 sets is a class standard.

As Darren said below, BBC have mentioned it loads, they have even got text commentary of the final on the BBC website.

Sky on the other hand treat the BDO with contempt and their "pundits" do their upmost to run it down......mainly fatty Bristow and the Prince of Bile Harrington.

Shame Sky aren't more forthcoming about the BDO.

They are both playing good darts and bad darts in equal measures

Good Match so far. Ebbed and flowed, anyone could win it and could be 7-6!

I've noticed there's more posts about the crowd than the darts here tonight...

The only thing taking me away from the game is that I have RedZone on the other TV. I just think it's bizarre chanting for someone who isn't even playing. LFC still do it with Gerrard and it annoys the hell out of me, he's left, get over it.

Apples and oranges isn't it. Would be pretty ridiculous for the BBC website to cover darts but ignore the premium competition and organisation in the sport.

I disagree, I don't think either of them have reached the levels they showed in the other rounds, semi's in particular. Lots of missed doubles also, not many high check outs, still remains a bit "pah" for me so far. Still time I suppose.

They just did for VDV and MVB too. I assumed it was because they had arrived in the auditorium to watch

could argue that BBC realise that the PDC world championship is a major sport event on the calendar so feel they need to give it that coverage.

would be pretty silly if they ignored it to be honest.

I think the final between the two in 2011 was a better game.

That's nonsense tbf.

Bristow and Plodney may have the odd dig but they are plonkers. The likes of Studd and Mardle always pay respect to the BDO and the likes of Webster, Bunting and Klassen are referred to as World Champions

They do on their website just not on SSN.

UFC is a niche sport over here anyway,
