Should've been over 130 really! But I'm sure he'll take the world record. Unreal stuff!

what the heck!

MvG just played the most amazing darts. guy was averaging over 130 at one point.

beat taylors world record of 118

you cant play against that.

World Record TV average of 124 for MVG!!...if he hadn't have messed up that double 18 in the 7th leg, he would have had an average of about 135!!!!...that would have NEVER been touched again I reckon!

Now Taylor hits back with a 115 average!!!!......Amazing quality darts tonight, probably the best ever seen on TV

Nothing an opponent can do against that. It's freakish

What an incredible nights viewing every game was a class standard apart from Wadey's and Lewis's last leg although missed doubles like that are exciting

Imagine if MvG set the record for 135, he is just ridiculous, I love watching him.

I watched it late as always.

Does Wright ever use the same darts set two weeks running these days?

MVG Ridiculously good again

Doesn't seem to affect him changing them all the time but I don't think it makes his game much different either!

Like Mardle was saying when MVG is on top form he's pretty much unbeatable, hard to believe someone could play a better game than Phil in his pomp but it's arguable MVG does these days.

7-2 as simple as that

Glad to see Bully Boy get a win in the PL, was looking like he might be the Webby or Newton of the PL where it breaks him rather than makes him.

Now onto Minehead tomorrow for the UK Open! Not that Sky would tell you that tournament exists

I do like the UK Open, it allows you to see other players rather than the same 8 week in week out. Even your pal POD will be on telly tomorrow afternoon Ned.

I went when it was at Bolton it was fantastic from boards 3-8 you were up so close to the action and you could see most of the top 32 in action and pick your games ,a few players mingled in with the crowd after they had finished playing I remember Mrs huybrechts getting bombarded for selfies when she went to the bar great value for money gutted when it moved but the crowds weren't big enough at Bolton

Wes Newton's fall from grace clearly illustrated by having to open up his UK Open campaign in the first round in front of a handful of spectators.

Crazy and shows time doesn't stand still for nobody. You can slip so quickly now if your game isn't good enough.

Dennis Smith v Alex Roy.

This could have been a PDC World Championship quarter final around 2000.
