Why would she do that, aren't Snake Bite and Anderson world cup partners I thought they all got on?
If he was going to through it he could have still won 7-2 and make it look better. It was just sarcastic joke tweet apparently, I just had a look. |

Wadey won the latest ET plus the pdc pick the world cup line ups apparently so Klaasen will have no chance of playing in it due to him and MVG not getting on and he is only a fraction in front of Barney anyway.
Be interesting to see who they pick then but i can't see beyond the normal suspects anyway for the main nations in mainly the order they are in. |

Indeed Klaasen has fallen on his own sword and released a statement of withdrawal.

Yeah thats true
Plus ask the crowds to pick two out of MVG, Barney or Klaasen that they'd like to see and Jelle would come a distant 3rd |

Certainly not defending Klaasen's actions of course. I do wonder though if he'll ever get the chance to represent his country in the World Cup - after all, MVG is, what, five years his junior? - and likely to be the top player for another two decades unless something really untowards happens...so as long as he's their number one, Klaasen isn't going to get a look in presumably, even if he won a major / reached world number two or something.

I know you weren’t bud. That’s a very valid point though about maybe not representing his country. We shall have to wait and see if one day, if he is number 2 by some distance, if MVG will relinquish his place in the side.

Let's note forget it's Klaasen who is in the wrong here. What he did was appalling and I cannot blame MVG for baring a grudge.

The PDC are hypocrites. Happily accept the money of a paedo for event entry yet wont put him into an event. Either treat him the same as everyone else or boot him totally out, this "halfway house" is a load of crap.

Well, (a) it's an invitational event so they are free to select who they like, and (b) they let him play every other event on the tour that he qualifies for, just not the one where he'd have to partner up with a guy who despises him (and who happens to be the best player in the world and a far bigger draw). Seems fair enough to me.

Am I missing something here ? Hasn't Klaasen pulled out ? Are you saying the PDC said he couldn't play ? If he didn't back down then MVG would pull out, we know that so Klaasen has done the right thing.
So what happens if Klaasen wins the world title? |

He shouldn't have to pull out. Mvg has the issue.
So what happens if Klaasen wins the world title? The world championship is after the World Cup so it is irrelevant this year. |

So you think a 'peado' ( your word ) has more of a right than the aggrieved ? Also think about this from Klaasen’s point of view. He pulls out and only a few know the reason why. MVG pulls out and questions get asked, before you know it the story is out in the open again.
The world championship is after the World Cup so it is irrelevant this year. And it could be relevant next year. Imagine the world champion not being in the event, would be utterly absurd. We aren't going to agree so let's leave it there for the sake of everyone else. |

The PDC have decided they have no issue with him by accepting his entry for events. Therefore he should have been treated the same as everyone else, rightly or wrongly. It's rather obvious pressure has been placed on him to make this bollocks statement about him having "personal commitments", if people believe that then they believe anything.
And it could be relevant next year. Imagine the world champion not being in the event, would be utterly absurd. We aren't going to agree so let's leave it there for the sake of everyone else. You keep saying that the PDC are involved in this but there is no proof of that at all. Pressure could have been put on him from a number of other sources. As I say for the sake of himself and his own family, he has made the right decision, why would he want it all in the open again ? And as for the World Champion thing it is irrelevant because it hasn't happened. I am dealing in actual events not possibles. If it happens I will comment then. |

This may sound a little "fairweather" but it's nice to be able to watch the PL again now that the interminable group rounds has finished and we're now at the decisive stage of the competition.

Routine win for the world number one, 95 and change average by Jackpot is never going to make an impression on MVG who averages 103 in a match like that without really igniting.

Strange last leg before the break there, both players tried their hardest to lose it but Anderson succeeded.
Patchy match so far in general - but Anderson is showing signs of cracking now. |

Why is Taylor throwing first in the final?
