Price missing that big 3 sort of summed up the quality of the match really. 7-3 to Lewis instead of 6-4, game over.

I can't abide the sweaty oaf Lewis but Price is really turning himself into a laughing stock here.

Last year:
Lewis 99.20 Price 97.88 This year: Lewis 84.55 Price 82.06 It's almost like something happened which took the edge off both players' normal games. |

Lewis, you could have been gracious there, but instead you behave like a dick. So much for being the good guy.

He should be looking at why he played like a drain instead of petty point scoring. |

I don't post much these days but couldn't let this moment pass without commenting on super silky smooth Steve Beaton.
An absolute pleasure to see him roll back the years. What a gent. |

Dan Dawson has just said on Twitter that a bloke walked up to the Bet Victor stand, threw down £250 on a treble - Beaton winning, getting the highest checkout and most 180s. Just won 7 Grand

Sad to say but I think Terry Jenkins is a bit of a yesterday's man now.

So far this is the only World Matchplay where a game has not gone to overtime.
In 11 of the 24 games so far the loser has reached only 5 legs or less. Only 6 games have produced a 100+ average. Certainly will not go down as a vintage Matchplay. QF line ups have potential to get a few crackers but on the other hand there is 3 potential drubbings

Beaton deserves so much credit. His one of older players that has still kept his game at a real high standard.

Doubling horror show from Wright and Lewis so far.
Scoring's not too hot either. |

Lewis seemingly not happy with the crowd and justifiably so.
He was well within his rights to set up tops on the 170 finish rather than going for the bull. Took a while but that turned into an excellent match. |
