![]() ....can't see much in the way of competition unless Taylor or Gando average sub 95 |

Incredibly we have not had one 'win by two legs' scenario yet. All first round games were to 10, second round to 11 and so far the quarters to 16

Meryn played great but Taylor hitting a ten darter and then the 121 was why he is still the best

Mervyn King is a very tough player to beat. He reminds me a bit of James Wade, doesn't get multiple 180's, 140's and 137's etc... But gets many 100's, 97's - always seems to hit at least one treble every throw.

I think many would disagree with that. He's the greatest but not the best at the moment.

King when on form is very good. His unlucky to be in a era where there are so many quality players. Quote:
My point if Mvg was losing would he hit a ten darter and then a big checkout
I've seen MvG do that. MvG is special in the sense he can be losing and then out of nowhere hit a surge where he will roll of three or four 10,11,12 dart legs to swing the game.

I really hope Lewis gets a battering tonight because of the way he was in the world cup and even more so after his game with Gerwyn Price.

If we don't see something special tonight with the four best players in the world in action, it really will be a poor Matchplay.

Four best players in the world over a long distance format. Should be as good as it gets.
I suspect MVG and Anderson are a distance ahead of the other two these days, so we'll see if that pans out tonight. |

Did you not enjoy the quarter finals? ok the averages are a bit down on the usually crazy standards but them quarters were great tight games I thought.
Lewis v Wright turned into a great match but MvG v Chisnall seemed a bit underwhelming. |

Blackpool is usually my favourite event but struggled to enjoy this week. I think I am getting bored of seeing the same players all the time. 8 of the 10 PL lot are in all the World Series events. But I think the real stinker has been we haven't had one really tight match yet. With only two games to go we have not had one game that has gone to "win by two clear legs".

The game was a bit flat tonight, MvG storming near the end.
And Lewis had something to say again it seems? MvG is like have you heard this

This is the best I've seen Taylor play for some considerable time.
Anderson is crumbling under the pressure here. |
