Who would you replace? I reckon a few more finals yet or win one straight up.
Well from the 10 last year, I would get rid of Smith and Thornton.

Only top 4 are shoe ins. That should be MVG, Anderson, Wright and Taylor

Then 6 others. Probably Barney, Chizzy, Wade and Lewis plus ( for me ) Klaasen and Suljovic. Although surely Barney has to earn that place now. Still plenty of darts to go. Masters, Grand Slam, Players Champs and Worlds before then.

They've all accepted the invitation then?

Must admit I didn't know whether Martin Adams was going to do so in light of his cancer scare.

Adams aside (for the obvious reasons and the fact he played last year and has clearly mellowed), why would any of the other 7 refuse to play?

Three of them have played it before and none of the other four are Ross Montgomery style bitter BDO militants.

Smith, he's the eternal bottler, fed up of hearing how good he could be.

When has any BDO player, other than Adams, ever refused the invitation?

I can't think of another instance offhand.

Look, when I said "they've all accepted the invitation", I meant it completely literally; even though I didn't know how disposed the new BDO entrants were to playing in a PDC tournament, I wasn't expecting half the BDO field to pull out but I thought there might have been the possibility that Adams wouldn't appear because of his cancer scare.

That's what I took it to mean Jason. A rhetorical question and relating to Wolfie after his diagnosis.

Lewis looks wired.

Poor Gerwyn Price; he put in a massive effort to take MvG to a deciding leg and then he lost his nerve in that leg.

MvG looks absolutely knackered in his post-match interview - and sounds unusually bullish.

Lewis used to be so good what has happened to him, he never seems to average over 100 anymore.

On this performance against Whitlock, it's completely and fully justified.

10-0 whitewash and an average of 110.

He's not playing enough. Same with Barney. Neither of them were in the Europeans because they didn't play enough European Tour Events. Look at Suljovic, plays in everything and now up to 7 in the world. Best form of practice is match play I guess.

Chisnall needs to toughen up. Always standing there with that big gormless grin on his face after he's had his arse handed to him by one of the big boys.
He's got enough game and scoring power to give MVG a much better game than that.

He'll never win a major.

Taylor deserves what he gets if you ask me, because of his antics against MvG a while ago and he'll do it again one day I bet, he is always up to something.

I would love for Wright to win his first TV tournament.

Looks like those four missed darts at double 12 / 6 / 3 are going to prove fatal for Wrighty....

Ronnie Baxter and Terry Jenkins may argue with that ha ha. Both have been in so many finals and never won one. I think Wright will one one day but I agree with Hayden about Chizzy, cant see him winning a major.
