Giant stones there from Wright.

But the old boy is nowhere near as ruthless as he used to be.

Also ITV, after a match like that I'd rather see the handshake between the players than look at Wright's missus. Thanks all the same.

Can Wright lift himself after that marathon now ? Big ask.

Wow, that was a bit special. Think Taylor did himself no favours at the end there with the crowd.

Wow, happy to be wrong what a thriller!

I too would love Wrighty to win a TV biggie, he's been knocking on the door for ages. Unfortunately he's lost no fewer than 8 finals to MVG on the tour. Oh well, law of averages and all that...

I bet MVG enjoyed that match more than we did.
Wright must be spent.

Can't be doing with Taylor and his on stage antics of late, but the Scottish crowd disgusts me more.

The PDC should simply stop going there.

Yeah, will be hard for Wright to keep that up. Mind you can MVG keep the level he's produced in the last few rounds?

They could do that and also do something to stop Taylor's antics too. Both are out of order really.

It strikes me that having a rapid throw is an asset to MvG when the crowd are booing as he doesn't have time to register it before he throws the dart.

Superb finishing from MvG, 130 and 103 in consecutive legs to give himself the edge.

Peter Wright has dropped off a bit from his performance against Taylor but not by as much as people perhaps feared.

Comeback no.2 on the cards for Peter Wright?

Nearly but not quite in the end - despite the crowd's help.

The Scottish crowd got exactly what they deserved, they've let Wright down big style.
