Peter Wright again so near but yet so far. No need for the booing for MvG although they wanted a Wright win. 3 darts at double 8 that Wright won't get again possibly.

The Scottish crowds are terrible. Yes all players have their fans and yes they all have people that dislike them, but the amount of booing that goes on towards the non-scottish players is shocking, regardless of the tournament.
The fact they continue to go to Scotland astounds me. |

The fact they continue to go to Scotland astounds me. Saying that, though, I did notice more security people in hi-vis jackets walking around the crowd than is normally the case at PDC tournaments. |

For what its worth I thought the noise tonight was nothing compared to a PL night. These players can handle it. Blimey this is ultra timid compared to what Brissy had to put up with in the 80s

Quite a nice draw with some groups having two stand out candidates to get through
Group G i guess is the one that will get the "group of death" tag |

Got to be honest, I've never heard of Dmitri van den Bergh, Ted Evatts, Nathan Derry, Nathan Aspinall, Jamie Hughes or Chris Dobey.

Jamie Hughes is a BDO player, one of the higher ranked ones not already qualified. Nathan Aspinall was the runner up in the PDC World Youth Final ( to Max Hopp ) |

Hope Wolfie takes MVG to the cleaners tonight. Used to like MVG but he's starting to become Phil Taylor mk II. He needs taking down a peg or two.

He's got to calm down though and not let his feelings get the better of him . He makes very silly mistakes and gets sloppy

Glen Durrant has to have the worst walk on music ever
Mind you it suits his style and mannerism |

I hope his illness doesn't affect Wolfie. Oldest man in the tournament again, would love to see him make the second round |
