That was probably the last chance saloon for Snakebite.

You know, when I said that these were the kinds of matches Wright has got to start winning, I didn't realise I meant matches where the other bloke averages 111 and doubles at 47%.

No other player in the world would have lived with MvG then; Wright did well to stay in it as long as he did, frankly.

Sky were banging on before the match about Wright having the highest average and checkout % of all 4 semi finalists and making a strong case for him based on that. What they didn't take into account was the fact that MVG hadn't moved up a gear yet, he has that ability.

Yes like I say he needs a break to just avoid MvG in a tournament

Wadey in front with an 86 average, but with some nice finishing.

No disrespect to Wadey but if we want the final to go past about 8:30 tonight then Ando needs to win this!

Even then he'll need to up his game a good few gears!

Bizarrely inconsistent performance from both players so far.

You're right, it's just I'm a bit of Wadey fan, but yes I feel if James gets through he will get trounced, Anderson is very likely to perform tonight.

Wade wins 16-14!

Anderson can only blame himself there, Wade couldn't have thrown a worse final leg and he still couldn't break him.

Get in Wade.

60 60 60 in that final leg and won it, time to step it up and make a good final now.

I know a lot of people will say Wade has no chance against MVG with a relatively modest average, but forget all that that was a fantastic victory on its own merits.

Has Wade won 7 or 8 majors then?

Wiki indicates 8 but includes the Championship of Darts, which no longer exists.

McDonald always says 8 and Wayne 7 who knows lol

But what a chance for 4-1 I think he needed that to keep the game going longer.

MvG isn't even half the player he was against Wright earlier on.

Both players look a tad jaded, to be fair.

One way traffic now.

You could see the lack of belief in Wade's eyes towards the end of that session.

And there's yet another win for MvG.

Some good first round matches here Lewis could be in trouble again, and Wade v King you can't make that game up can you.

Mensur and RvB too.
