Chuck's just had a nine darter - on board two though so I guess it doesn't count as a televised nine darter?!

Typical, on board 2.

Mind you he's trousered 35K so I doubt he's too bothered!

Thornton has piled the weight on hasn't he ? Looked decidedly uncomfortable last night

Full marks to ITV for giving the secondary board full match coverage - like Sky used to do in the early years of the UK Open.

How fortunate Ron Meulenkamp was there, missing big 17 in a 117 finish but still having tops to win the match after Anderson missed tops himself.

This tournament is being dominated by the Dutch darting machine.

No wonder the 'Dutch Darting Machine' are dominating the tournament when an out of sorts Van Barneveld can cruise through 10-2 against Joe Cullen who frankly embarrased himself. He looked absolutely trollied.

Josh Payne also lost 10-2 to MVG but gave a much better account of himself.

I can't see Ron 'Cougar' Meulenkamp getting many more than 2 against Wright either.

Barney winning with an 87 average and Cullen 71 was it? wow that is rough.

Ops sorry I forgot I paused it and I'm an hour back

I guess it reflects the open nature of the tournament to have three players outside the top 32 - Kist, Webster and Green - making the quarter finals.

Kist's doing particularly well, making the quarters in three of his last four tournaments.

Kist having a right mare here.

One of the semis is going to be a write off.

What a brilliant 161 that was from Barney.

Necessary one too after MvG's blistering start.

That 145 from MvG, shot of the game.

19th leg decider between Huybrechts and Wright

And Wright takes it!

Boy, that was a close one.

Great start from Webster - 5-0 up on MvG!
Sick Bullet

Wow who would have thought that? 5-0

MvG is all over the place out there at the moment.

At last he's won a leg

MvG digging deep, I have never been so focused on a darts match

MvG scrambles over the line 11-8!

He got lucky though, he was as poor on his finishing as I've seen him all year.

Whoever wins out of Wright and Chisnall will be hoping against hope that this MvG turns up in the final.

Yes, although knowing Wright and Chizzy's luck in Majors MvG will bring his 110 game.

I bet they do, but that was one of the great darting recoveries there

Indeed, and that's a side of MvG's game we've not really seen in recent months because he's not needed to use it - namely his ability to come from behind to win a match.

Haha Chisnall, copying Wright's moves
