Chuck's just had a nine darter - on board two though so I guess it doesn't count as a televised nine darter?!

Full marks to ITV for giving the secondary board full match coverage - like Sky used to do in the early years of the UK Open.

How fortunate Ron Meulenkamp was there, missing big 17 in a 117 finish but still having tops to win the match after Anderson missed tops himself.
This tournament is being dominated by the Dutch darting machine. |

No wonder the 'Dutch Darting Machine' are dominating the tournament when an out of sorts Van Barneveld can cruise through 10-2 against Joe Cullen who frankly embarrased himself. He looked absolutely trollied.
Josh Payne also lost 10-2 to MVG but gave a much better account of himself. I can't see Ron 'Cougar' Meulenkamp getting many more than 2 against Wright either. |

I guess it reflects the open nature of the tournament to have three players outside the top 32 - Kist, Webster and Green - making the quarter finals.
Kist's doing particularly well, making the quarters in three of his last four tournaments. |

Kist having a right mare here.
One of the semis is going to be a write off. |

What a brilliant 161 that was from Barney.
Necessary one too after MvG's blistering start. |

MvG scrambles over the line 11-8!
He got lucky though, he was as poor on his finishing as I've seen him all year. Whoever wins out of Wright and Chisnall will be hoping against hope that this MvG turns up in the final. |

I bet they do, but that was one of the great darting recoveries there
Haha Chisnall, copying Wright's moves
