Babe's words on Eastenders - Foreshadowing?
"I'd take a bullet to keep the Carters safe"
She could be the Christmas Casualty |

I sure hope so. As much as I've been impressed by Badland's former work, Aunt Babe doesn't work on a show like EastEnders. Far too caricature-esque and "cartoony." And even putting that aside she's shown herself as an utterly vile, wicked woman, especially with Cora.

Although it would be interesting, I can't really see any character to have a motive to shoot Babe. The Carters seem to be having a quiet Christmas and a busy New Year.
Ronnie also said today something along the lines of: ''Someone is going to die this Christmas'' which we know is true

I hope that's not the case as it would be so lame and obvious. These are meant to be professional writers at the top of their game, if that's their idea of being clever then I give up. I could have come up with that.

I don't see Babe's comment as foreshadowing, because although she is a wicked woman, she has been shown to be incredibly loyal to her family so the comment fits. Would be a shame to kill her off when there's still so much to explore. Knowing EE, there's bound to be more babies brokered by Babe who will crawl (pun intended) out of the woodwork looking for biological parents who will all conveniently live in the vicinity of Albert Square.

I don't think so. I think it was more Faux-Shadowing, words deliberatley seeded to think that it will be Babe. The trailer is leading us to believe that a Mitchell/Beale (muos likely Denny) will die so I think Babe's words were placed there for us to think it we have figured the twist out and that Babe will die. I however think Ronnie's direct foreshadowing of the Mitchell/Hubbard feud is what were are meant to overlook this in favour what DTC wants us to see as the most obvious (Denny) and least obvious (Babe) and the death will be Fatboy which will be a shock to those who don't know he is leaving.

I thought what Babe said was foreshadowing at first, but then Ronnie said to Phil about someone dying this Christmas and I think we'll have a few more of these sort of lines thrown in over the next few episodes too. If Phil and Ian are involved in the crash and Denny ends up of life support, my guess is it will be Jane who ends up dying as a result of falling down the stairs as all the focus is on other storylines. I'd be truly cheesed off if Jane dies cos I want her in jail rotting away for years for what she's done! |

Unlikely, Dean is set to try and drown Shirley and Mick jumps in to save her.

I think Babe and Ronnie's foreshadowing is tricking us. Whilst we look their way, Jane is quietly in pain but its such a rehash of last NYD - a car crash and a fatality but its the one with the knock that is killed.
DTC is Mr Recycle but would he really recycle a plot after just one year?! |
