That;s what you are meant to do, close it before it bolts.

Actually it's the mentality, I've gone right off him. I like a winners mentality, take it on and shows us what you can do, prove it.

I'm a sports fan and a I've been a competitive dancer, I don't spare time for those too precious to repeat a performance, it's what you do, you get on and do with with no fuss. All the greats have always done it too.

This is it for me as well, although I haven't gone off him, just not my dead cert favourite anymore, will decide on the night.

Like many, I've felt since the jive that Jay was nailed on for the glitterball (and I'd still like him to win)

But I think it's K&K's story arc that most resembles last year's winners'
- slightly under the radar until the last few weeks, then some great dances
- previous dance experience (and performance experience in Kellie's case)- but another celeb taking most of the flack for that sin (last year Pixie, this year Jay)
- a pro on his third final who hasn't previously won, (and Kevin's been omnipresent lately!)
- a celeb seemingly not favoured by the costume department
- in the dance off earlier in the comp

I can see Kellie getting the 3x 40s this year and lots of praise from the judges - I think it may be Kellie who's coming up on the rails.

Unless it really is the year of the Anton

Must be the tennis mentality.

You bring it to the final or you don't and you win or lose on that alone. Don't bring it, you don't win. I like it when people are big game players and don't shy away from it.
Kellie and Georgia are going in, all guns blazing.

Still think Jay will win with Kellie being his main opposition sorry Georgia & Katie fans it would been very easy for them to pick the jive but like they said how do they improve on perfection and with the Paso they can improve, get 40 and at the end of the day its their choice not ours and whatever they do on Saturday I know they show people wrong.

With all the pimping of Kevin and Kellie by ITT (and Cliftons during the series) and on SCD (that rumba did not deserve 34) I will be disappointed if they win. I support Jay and if he does want win I want Georgia to win.

But to omit the jive, because of being scared ? of not doing it right, makes it seem like it was a one off wonder that they are not able to do properly again ....... and, to me, this reduces Jay's standing somewhat. Which is really a shame, because he is very good and should be able to dance any of his routines a second time.”

I think it is very brave of Jay to decide not to do the Jive - knowing the risk he is taking.
He is a fantastic dancer and knows his own mind. He has shown himself to be a fighter in how he came back after that QS which was a nightmare week and also how he coped (without looking for sympathy- unlike others) performing the Foxtrot on the day his grandfather passed away and also how he dealt with the scurrilous tabloid lies for the first few weeks of SCD.
For anyone to abandon him now is indeed a shame and they are letting him down - after all would SCD 2015 have been the same if he was not in participating in it???

I think Jay is brave in his choice of dances. It would be an easy choice for him to do the Jive and probably win but he obviously wants more of a challenge and try to improve dances that he wasn't happy with. I loved his Paso but now, with Jay having had more experience, I think it will be fabulous.

I am sure Georgia is catching Jay on the clothing rails, her outfits usually have hardly anything in them and they must whizz along the rails.

Yep, that's exactly it .... the difference between very good and great....

Oh I dont think people will abandon him at all ....the vast majority of people who are supporting Jay, will still support him, because he is a very good dancer.

I just, personally, think it's a shame to hold back on repeating a dance because of being scared, when he is very capable of producing another great jive..

Georgia backers.... give up the dream, please.
There is absolutely no way someone will this year's Strictly by performing their showdance to a song called "FIX YOU"...!!
As soon as that song choice was revealed, her odds should have drifted to 100-1.

I would very much like Jay to win, although I also like Kellie, and I believe it's obvious that she's his closest rival.
Apart from anything else, Kevin has now had 3 years to build up a solid fanbase, and it's very likely that he's finished 2nd for the past 2 years. Giovani cannot possibly be pulling in even a tiny fraction of Kevin's votes.
I also get a strong feeling that a LOT of Anita's fans have now switched to Kellie, and some to Jay. Hardly any will have switched to GMF.
The "x-factor" vote-swing will almost certainly be negligible - and if anything, they will love Jay, and they will love K&K's Star Wars charleston.
Kellie would probably be the safest/least "controversial" winner for the BBC, followed by Jay. They will not want Katie & Anton to win, after that Semi-Final farce, and they will surely be extremely unlikely to want someone to win with FIX YOU! It could be disastrous for the show; the tabloids are already on their case, with new allegations surfacing every few days. They'd be effectively handing them their next headline on a plate!

You really need to go and see a doctor, mate. That bump in the head you got it's making you sprout the most absurd nonsense.

Jay isn't scared of repeating the jive. What ever gave you that idea? If he was so scared why is he doing it in the Strictly tour? They both think it was a special moment in Strictly history and they don't want to spoil the memory for themselves and us the fans/viewers!

I thought the line was that Jay was being forced by mean ol' Craig to do the jive on tour?

This is contradictory. If he wants to save the special moment, why repeat it on tour? If the tour is different enough a format to not spoil the memory, then it's also different enough a format that he could be scared to mess up in one (the final) but not the other (the tour).

This is the biggest non-event in SCD history. 4th place / joint runners up and winner all settled before anyone puts a foot on dance floor. The contestants know that so it's just enjoy the dancing. Personally I prefer contested finals but at end of day it's just fluff entertainment to win a tacky glitterball. Back to day jobs come new year.

I think the runner up order is still up for grabs (not that 2nd/3rd are even revealed ) but first place was won in Week 3.

Well, he's going to be showing us what he can do tomorrow, and all without the help of a safety net! Which is what the jive seems to have become in terms of almost guaranteed win.

You could still get the tango - in previous years they have done one ballroom/ one Latin.

My view too. Jay has this in the bag and as a GG supporter I'm resigned to it but pleased for Jay too. There's no way his army of fans will desert him now - jive or no jive.

I just want to see 3 stunning dances from them all now and something extra special from GG to show all those detractors why they are worthy runners up.

Great post and as a fan of Jay and Georgia I want them 1st and 2nd in any order.
