I think it's interesting for someone to use the showdance to actually show off the dances they've learnt - and a little bit more. It's not been done often and I think it's a good way to show progression

I think Aliona might be making use of Jay's background in contemporary dance. I liked the look of the few bits we saw. I'm not wild about the song but I think Aliona is capable of choreographing something very good regardless.
Think Kellie and Georgia's could be spectacular! End of Jay's looked interesting, but not sure about the rest. Not holding out much hope for Katie at all, sadly. She looks so uncertain and off-balance to me.

It's what the original idea of what a showdance on Strictly was about and that was the norm in the earlier series for probably the first 5 or 6 finals.

Aliona is the Queen of Wafting, what did you expect?
Their song is dire though. Anton was clever for choreographing a Tango based showdance, it was their best dance by miles.
KK looking fast and furious! Given Kevin's Burn The Floor Lindy Hop routine I think it's going to be amazeballs!
GG are going to be beautiful, Georgia just have to improve her balance!

Kellie's looks like it might be a hot mess. Katie looks uncertain. Georgia's will be touching prob but not exciting. Jay will be amazing and I think ... despite them repeating moves .. it'll be something different and exciting.
Hard to tell which of these will be a show-stopper ... they all have the potential to be ( well apart from Katie's which looks pretty unambitious )

Kellie and Kevin's looks amazing!!! I really think they're going to steal the show. With this and the Charleston, it's going to be a strong night for Kellie!! No disrespect but Katie and Anton looks like they're doing exactly the same lifts from Kellie's AS.

We know Aliona has always been good at working with her partner's strengths and Jay is at his best dancing contemporary, so it could be really great. Uneasy about the song choice though.
I think some posters underestimate a Ballroom showdance danced really well, especially with a few lifts and tricks thrown in. So many older people I know have loved Katie & Anton every week, no matter what we thought on here and felt the judges were too harsh on them.
I think I am more excited to see Jay and Aliona showdance after seeing that; funny because I was a bit worried when I first heard the song and saw the clip yesterday on Ian's Warm up. Yes they are a few of their previous moves from other dances but it still looks a bit different from the showdances that we usually see so I like that aspect of it

Not keen on the wide-legged stompy bit in K & K's, but it may have looked worse because I was focused on Kevin's enormous trainers. I think they will probably pull it off on the night and be really fun.
Feel a bit sorry for Katie - I really like her but she looks a bit out of her depth and I can't see her dancing being strong enough for that music.
Really liking the look of the range of styles in J & A's. It will be nice to see something different and I think Jay can probably carry off any hip-hop stuff a lot better than Matt Baker.

I think there's something slightly off about Jay's posture and I think it's his head position - if he held it slightly back from where he normally does, I think he'd look more confident and elegant. And that peck on the cheek he gave her at the end looked out of place to me I can't imagine Anton or Kevin kissing their partners at the end of a step like that! (maybe Gio though but he's Italian )
Katie looked stodgy - hope she can relax into the dance on Saturday. And remember it!
Kellie looked as always - super trooper.
And Gio needs to tone down those spins - it's not the Bolshoi and it's not about him! WTH?? Georgia had circles under her eyes and looked tired bless - hope she's feeling well on the night. She's my fave - hope at least she isn't fourth.

BIB I don't think it was part of the routine - it's them congratulating each other on a job well done, or finishing off for the day
