Really looking forward to Jay and Aliona's showdance. From the training vid it looks like it could be fantastic.

Georgia's could be good as well. The others were still a bit rough round the edges but hopefully will be better by Saturday.

I personally was disappointed initially with Jay's song (and I'm a Jay fan). It's grown on me and having seen parts of the showdance I am impressed. It's better than I thought.
Georgia's looks lovely. I'm excited to see her do contemporary. I'm not sure about all that Tango to that song but it depends where she puts it. She's a gorgeous dancer.
Kellie's looked good when she was in flats. I think it'd be a mistake to ask her to wear heels for this dance as there are no rules and it's 10 times easier for her without heels.
Katie's music is incredible. The best of the bunch. I don't think she's powerful enough for it though.

It might be that there are certain parts of the choreography that are easier to do in heels? I've done a few jazz style numbers that I've found much easier in character shoes (low heels) than flat shoes. Or possibly she'll try it in both heels and flats and see what feels best for her personally?

I also felt that Kellie looked very heavy on her feet in the stompy jumps.

I think Katie will make a brave effort but her showdance will be outclassed by the others.

I have a feeling Jay's showdance will be marmite; some will love it, others will hate it.

Katie's look like a paso-based/inspired routine, which given her paso was not well received seems an odd choice.

Georgia is a bit meh to me now. Giovanni doing those turns looked wowee though.

Jay ... their footage is often inscrutable. Not sure on theirs yet.

I want K&K to smash it because I love their music and the type of dance they're doing I love.

I appreciate that we will get four very different show dances and hope that all deliver good ones because it will be the final turn for one of them.

See, I thought that spin discrepancy thing -- apart from the probable fact that Gio can do nine at once and Geo can't -- was interpretive. Like imparting momentum from your own spirit to someone you're trying to 'Fix' (kinda sorta...)

GG and kk def look the best there . Georgia is the dancer most improved, those solo spins and her posture are a dream . Kellie full of pep and fully focused as usual .
Jay , more wafting of his overly long arms . His signature move , wafty arms .
Katie looks wrecked , really really tired looking . Plus what little we saw was quite basic and unexciting . I think she has run out of steam .

Admittedly, I'm a non-fan but can't see what's getting people so excited about Jay and Aliona's. It looks like bits of their previous routines joined together, with lots of balletic arms (which, as lovely as they are, I'm a little bored of now). Maybe the overall routine with music will excite me more.

Katie looks out of her depth. No idea if Paso music was foisted on them or whether Anton chose it, but it's not playing to Katie's strengths. The song is so big and I just don't believe she's capable of embodying it.

The other two Showdances look better, but in terms of music and genre I'm most looking forward to K&K's.

I think it's because Jay is doing a pisstake of his blank face story by dancing to "I can't Feel my Face".

If Aliona pitches this right, it could be brilliant. If not, 😱😱😱

Georgia is pretty much doing the same as Jay, doing bits of her dances too, so I guess it's which one is the most interesting.

bib is that not the point? I would rather see a dance with recognised dance moves from the series than some contemporary/hip hop mumble jumble or gymnastic routine that we have seen in past years (or last week instead of a salsa). it looks good to me and loved Matt Culter and Aliona's routine mentioned earlier in the thread still one of my fav pro routines.

looking forward to Kellie and Kevin's as it plays to their strengths/character and Team GG's show dance looks intriguing and not what i was expecting by the song choice (at least from the short clip) but I agree with Sid that Katie doesn't played to her strengths and don't know how it is going to work for her, great music but bad choice for her maybe she is doing 2 ballroom numbers so needed to incorporate latin/drama somewhere to set her show dance apart or so it doesn't look to samey.

Frankly it's either going to be one of the best showdances ever or second to the Muppet dance in terms of bad choices.

It's true, can't tell much from the short clips, not sure why some are going orgasmic over it. I don't think it'll be awful nor the best ever, but they only need to pull off average to win.

I'm lol-ing at the title of Jay's track. I hadn't even cottoned on to that. Wonder if it was chosen deliberately or just a happy accident?!

All this Showdance talk makes me miss Gleb Good or bad, he'd have done an interesting one....none of this safe "bits from all our routines" business!

Katie looks tired to me. Anton can choreograph a beautiful ballroom show dance but she may struggle to drum up the energy. The Waltz should be beautiful too but might look a bit 'samey'

Kellie's show dance looks brilliant, but she may end up the same way. Their week 5 jive looked wonderful in training, but though it was good on the show, she lacked a bit of energy. This energetic show dance may be a bit too much if Kellie has to do 3 dances - and one's a Charleston!

Georgia's show dance could be beautiful - looking at the training. She should have the energy to do 3 dances very well - including an energetic Charleston which will be a nice contrast to the show dance - as long as she's recovered.

It's always hard to judge Jay's from training, but then suddenly a beautiful Rumba or energetic Charleston appeared - so hoping it will be great. He should be fine with the Quickstep as he likes fast dances and enjoyed the Quick-stepathon. The Paso is a nice contrast too. He'll have the energy to do 3 with no trouble.

So it looks between Jay and Georgia by the dances. (I like Jay best, but Georgia is good.)

However how much effect will 'Year of the Anton' and 'Kevin's been in 3 finals' have? Not much I suspect, but you never know

I think the four dances will be a great contrast to each other, and will really be something for everyone watching. I'm really sad this series is ending.

He did one last week. It resulted in them going home.

I think those types of routines might appeal more to the couples' own fans because it's bits of their favourite couple's various dances in one big final performance. I remember enjoying Mark and Karen's partly for that reason, because I was invested in them and it felt like their Showdance encapsulated their Strictly experience.

I'm just very hard to please when it comes to Showdances! They're almost always a let-down, whatever route the couples go down.

I find the title of Jay and Aliona showdance so hilarious and ironic " I can't feel my face ". I dont know if this was picked on purpose or not. I mean ALL series, the judges kept criticizing his face and they do a song called " I cant feel my face " in the finals ; Brilliant ...So Funny
