All this Showdance talk makes me miss Gleb Good or bad, he'd have done an interesting one....none of this safe "bits from all our routines" business!”

It's deliberate! 😂😂😂 now maybe you get why we're all cackling 😳😂 also geeky, shy Jay is slapping Aliona's arse, where did that come from? 😱😂

I think a lot of Jay fans are excited because it's different to anything he's done before, it's playful and cheeky. Yes, it nods to his previous dances, but unless you do some full on Gleb contempowafting in a tray of water (yes, he did that in Russian DWTS) they all are essentially. 😉 Kellie's not reinventing the wheel, she's done Lindy, jive & charleston, so she's treading familiar ground too.

Maybe the overall routine with music will excite me more.

Katie looks out of her depth. No idea if Paso music was foisted on them or whether Anton chose it, but it's not playing to Katie's strengths. The song is so big and I just don't believe she's capable of embodying it.

The other two Showdances look better, but in terms of music and genre I'm most looking forward to K&K's.”

i like Katie but I do wish Anita and Gleb had made the final. Their showdance would have been amazing!

Interesting that Ian Waite said that K&K's showdance could be the showstopper. Their AS last week showed that they are capable of producing something amazing.
Jay and Aliona's dance looked cool, but not keen on the music.

I'm just very hard to please when it comes to Showdances! They're almost always a let-down, whatever route the couples go down.”

So i am i can only think of a handful of showdances through all the series and as one of them is Lisa Snodden's

funny i liked Mark and Karen's too (i know you mean the original Mark and Karen and not the mess from last year which looked like they were running in a race) but i was never a fan of his and only enjoyed 3 of his dances (tango, argentine tango and i think the samba or salsa the one with Karen in the yellow dress) I love Ian and Zoe's complete with floor slip even though i wasn't a fan of them at the time either so to me the most important thing is that it suits the couple (unlike Sophie & Brendan's disco disaster) and that it is memorable but i like seeing something that they learnt through the series too.

Caroline's was my favourite last year but was disappointed it was so heavily based on contemporary dance and wanted more from them but last year was a bad year for show dances imo.

Would have been more a surprise if Gleb actually put some recognisable steps in his dance as he barely could some weeks including in the argentine tango, so called rumba and that freestyle nicknamed a salsa

I saw. I want.

I know, it sucks. Not quite Sophie-didn't-get-to-reprise-her-Charleston-and-get-40 levels of sucking, but still. Curious to know what they'd have done.

Yes. God yes. I'm glad you clarified for me! The other Mark and Karen's Showdance I've wiped from my memory....no clue. I'd actually forgotten they were even in the final.

I think you're right and Giovanni is supposed to be helping Georgia. The clip reminded me of Torville and Dean's Bolero where Chris takes hold of Jane to help her along the journey. Gio is doing the fixing.

Honestly I don't think those short clips tell us much, although I suspect the routine where any mistakes most likely to stand out will be Kellie and Kevin's. Hopefully they'll pull it off though.

At least nobody has to worry about their footwork and posture pleasing the judges on Saturday. It's all about the performance, not the technique.

I'm really looking forward to four contrasting showdances, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least a couple of them might actually be good!

I thought Georgia looked great and Giovanni is wisely playing to her strengths, I agree with other posters about the spins though; Giovanni needs to tone his down a little.

Kellie and Kevin's looked a bit rough around the edges, as it would do in the rehearsal stage, but I think the music is brilliant and she's certainly doesn't lack stamina or commitment.f they get it right it could really be fantastic I think.

Katie and Anton - again looked like fairly early footage, Katie will have to be at her best I think, not to be overshadowed by the other three, but I do love that music.

I'm actually warming to Jay and Aliona's music, the laid back style suits him and the irony is brilliant. The wafty arms looked like a rumba section, I'll be interested to see how it all comes together. He's a great dancer and hopefully Aliona will put together a brilliant dance to showcase that.
