Quite different to the dancer but then again she was paired with Artem ... Pixie's partnership with Trent allowed her personality to shine through the dances so the coupling does matter. It is hard to dislike Jay or begrudge him winning even though I'm supporting others.”

Yes Maggie, Trent is so likeable. He is a pro who doesn't have to be in your face unlike Kevin. Poor Natalie...no matter how well she danced, some just couldn't detach her from her Corrie character.

No, I totally agree. A genuinely nice contestant will be forgiven a lot, though, even by those with other (mild) preferences.

But I didn't know Natalie from Corrie and took against her. I think her personality as a dancer and her pairing with Artem created a dance persona that didn't fit with who she was off the floor. Yet now I watch some of her dances repeatedly on YT - her waltz, rumba and AS (both first time and in the final).

I love Trent ... and Kevin

Hope Trent returns. We need a dancer who is good in standard and latin ballroom and who is talented as a choreographer.

Absolutely. And if the nice person has a good sense of humour too then all the more.

Also, Maybe Jay has the like ability factor in abundance because of his apparent innocence? He doesn't seem to take his position in the show for granted. More so, he wants to be there for what the experience has done for him MENTALLY. If I had to guess, I'd say it's matured him and that's a priceless factor.

Yes - well, it definitely helps sway me, anyway, in real life as well as on Strictly. If you can convey taking it seriously but being able to laugh at yourself, working hard but enjoying the experience, you may not win but you'll do very well. All four finalists convey that for me, actually. Lovely year this year.

Same for me. I'm looking forward to the show and will enjoy it whatever the outcome. I'd love Katie to win, I know she won't and also if she did win everyone would make it about Anton, which would irritate me. Think I've contradicted myself in this post!

Agreed. Added to which he's messed up in live performances too so the audience don't take his good efforts for granted either.

Yes, hardly representative of solid professional dance training when he's proven his technique can be flawed. I think his jive though was flawless, and that was where his vulnerability was lost and he became a man!

To be fair, Tameka did say positive things about all of the other finalists, too.

I think this is what shines through with Jay, and why so many have taken to him.

After last week's performance she certainly has the momentum. I'm hoping that she and Kevin can take it to an ever higher level in tonight's final.

Fingers crossed

I think Kara was pretty ringer-ish, but again largely forgiven due to being lovely.

So you think they'll hand it to Jay then?

I dont think all the bookies would get it wrong and Jay is way out ahead of the pack.

This bugged me too. Irrespective of my dislike towards her, if she wins all these little things like this and the tv ad I posted about will be plastered everywhere with the f-word being cried out again.

I am surprised that you haven't been able to work it out by now.

Not only is he a great dancer, but he is a modest, likeable young guy, who seems genuinely surprised and grateful for his success.

All of this without, gurning, screeching, and crying.

Fair amount of tripping over his own feet, too.

My gut is telling me this too.

Kellie & Kevin have form for "rising to the occassion" when called for.

Good luck to her!

There is no chance of her winning anyone thinking she will can win a fortune at the bookies.

I bet Jay would love to know how he's infantilised and emasculated on here. That would do his self-image the world of good.

But really disappointed to hear that theyre doin charleston again. I didnt think much of their charleston 1st time tound, ive seen more exciting and intricate line-dancing tbh.

Agree with a previous post about the 2 dances coming across samey... Itll be a grimace and gurning saga come saturday”

So true!

I am not looking forward to any of their dances. Love her work ethic, etc, etc. but hate they way they dance.

They have chosen their most OTT, cheesy, naff routines and then added on a really butch looking, flailling, throw-the-sink-at-it Lindy Hop.

A certain element of the public will lap it up because they like their Strictly to be 'in yer face'. It's just a question of how big this element is
