ITT post Final show.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a post Final ITT hour special ?
Interviews, reprising the dances, bit of gossip, etc.
I know the Final is "final", but it seems to finish the series a bit bluntly.

Yes to this!

After the glamour and the excitement of the Final, I would love to go backstage and back on the ITT sofa to regather that feeling of Strictly on a day-to-day basis. It seems hard for the runners-up particularly that they get less focus than those who go out in earlier weeks.

They did have one last year I think? On the red button I think?

They did a post-show in the SCD studio type thing that I remember, but a 1hr ITT show the Monday after Finals weekend would be awesome!

It's only 4 days before Xmas on Monday though - they probably just want to spend time with their family and friends.

They've done a post-final show on the red button for the past two years now.

I thought it was a bit of a let down tbh.

The final ITT on Red Button always seems a bit disorganised to me.

Surely it should be easy enough to plan to interview the finalists and the judges - but it often looks as if they've been grabbed in passing in the mêlée.

Impromptu chats with any family and friends can't be organised beforehand so you'd expect they would be off the cuff.

But the whole thing always looks to me as if they all just want to rush off and party

Think the BBC ought to have a proper - obviously recorded - ITT on Sunday evening on BBC2. Use organised interviews with whoever wins and the other finalists, same with the judges plus catch anything useful otherwise such as friends' comments - record all that on Saturday. Then add some favourite clips from the main show and from ITT. There you are - a TV programme

It was better last year than the year before, but it was still not worth the bother. It definitely needs some structure and I don't understand why the BBC doesn't realise there's a demand for a decent follow up show to the final.

Agreed

Yes, that would be a good idea, filling the space left by the Sunday results show, and offering a fitting (and structured) end to the series as a whole.

There is a winners' ITT on red button at 10.10 on Saturday.

ITT

I'd still prefer a proper show though. I can't understand why the Beeb don't do it.

I think it should be on Sunday when the results show would normally be.

They have Sports Nonentity of the year on Sunday so would be difficulty to fit in and would be prerecorded because many competitors are quite likely going away for Christmas and even if not the last thing they will want to do is go back to the studio yet again.

After tonight I reckon all the ITT crew will be more than happy and relieved to finish for Christmas and bugger off to the pub (Although maybe Zoe has had strict orders from Norm to get home asap!)

Oh dear. Forgot about that. I shall be watching The Sound of Music live on ITV (mainly for Mellie).

It could be on the hour before the Sports bash but then Countryfile would be on too early. Hmmmm. The Red Button thing isn't enough though.
