Janet Jackson uk

Just wondered if anyone was seeing Janet on her uk tour in April next year?!
I've got tickets for Manchester but am wondering if she will actually sell out the 5 uk arenas she's playing? Seems a bit ambitious considering there's been no hype about it, her latest album only peaked at 11 then dissapeared. Before that she was hardly huge in the U.K. Anyway. I'm a huge fan but can't help thinking she should be maybe just playing a night or 2 at somewhere like Royal Albert Hall.

I seen her on her last greatest hits tour at the Royal Albert Hall. Must have cost me around £600 with travel and hotel and ticket and it was a complete disappointment. So much I haven't even listened to her new album. Personally I don't think she will sell
Out the tour but they will prob just black out the sections that aren't sold

I keep thinking about booking for Manchester but haven't as yet.

You can still get floor seats which is not a good sign.

Unbreakable is my 2nd fave Janet album out of the 11 she has released. I have tickets for London and also saw her in San Francisco in October - the show was much bigger and more ambitious than the tour in 2011 which I enjoyed too.

Me and a friend paid for the platinum seats at SSE Hydro. The way I see it, she is unlikely to be doing tours of this kind in the future in Europe. I would regret it if I didn't go, I missed Tina Turner so it wasn't going to happen again with another major artist.

eh? The setlist is about 90% hits. How did you only know 1 song??

I was looking again at tickets for Manchester.

I'm a fan but I can't really muster up the enthusiasm to book it. The clips I've seen are very 'samey'.
Nothing jumps out and makes me want to see it.

She's definitely made a bad decision playing these arena's. The shows are in 4 months and tickets at the bottom of the lower tiers only appear to be sold at the moment with some floor seating still available for Manchester

I was a MASSIVE Janet fan 5 years ago but I've kind of lost interest. I do keep going backwards and forwards for tickets though as I might end up regretting not seeing. I used to watch her live concerts DVD's all the time and they're fantastic but nothing has grabbed my attention for this tour with seeing clips and she just looks like she cant be bothered anymore. I'll make my mind up closer to the time. I will be going to the Manchester show if I decide to go

I also have a feeling that the shows might get cancelled. Unless she can pull off some solid promo beginning of next year

I have tickets for the Barclaycard Arena (Birmingham) gig. I've seen 1 gig there before and basically fancied a change from going to the O2, as much as I love the place. Mind you when I looked the tickets were slightly cheaper for the Barclaycard Arena.

Out of interest did you go to see her at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011? I was at one of the gigs there and the atmosphere was fantastic. I agree that it might have been a good idea to have done a few gigs at the Royal Albert.

I do need to get the latest album. I heard 'No Sleep' on Paul Gambaccini's Radio 2 show a few times and I believe I heard 'Gon' B Alright' on Jo Whiley's show.

I thought 'No Sleep' was good. I could have imagined that being an album track from the 90s.

Well, with the news that the tour is now 'postponed', I'm glad that I didn't book.

Sorry for you guys who have tickets - even if date are rescheduled it can be a pain organising travel/accomodation etc.
