When Gary and Charleine got fired we didn't get the walk out with the suitcase to the departing music and the taxi "epilogue" bit. I know it's trivial but it's part of a departing candidate's story and it seems odd and a shame that two of the final five weren't shown. I presume they filmed it but didn't show it?' (or did Charleine and Gary have to get the bus!)

There wasn't last year either, it would take up too much of the hour's airtime to show three taxi rides. I think You're Fired should be extended when there are multiple firings, but it never is.

Me too. The early candidates get a half hour show which needs padding because they weren't in it long enough, and then when we get to the last three of the final five where there's plenty to diiscuss, we get hardly anything.

I think they probably feel that extending YF would be overkill (especially since they then went and showed Why I Fired Them straight after). Also, it would mean a very long stretch for the YF audience. They view the episode, then a standard YF takes at least 1.5 hours to film, so I guess an hour-long episode would take 2.5-3 hours. Too long?

Its more to do with the schedules. The Apprentice is a bit sweary so needs to be on after 9pm but putting in on after 10:30 when the news finishes would be too late as Your Fired would then be on 11:30 to midnight. So the main programme has to finish at 10pm, but then Your Fired is hemmed in by Newsnight at 10:30.
Best way around it would be to have both programmes on Sunday nights for the whole run, as the schedules aren't so restrictive then.
